All the subtle groupings they did for so many Pokemon just made me appreciate them all so much more.. like of course they would redo "early route mammal" concept many times but they always made it feel fresh somehow.. Wait you saying "this is where they took the Pokedex screenshots" just made me love this video even more.. like holy shit *seeing* what I never thought we'd see just.. wow.. but that also means we didn't see the old mons "animated" Pokedex shots, only the new ones

The video is simple in concept but just executed perfectly. How it’s segmented from type evolutions, to the eevees(with their sprites from which generation they came from) and many more was just all in all a serotonin overload of memories. Also also, the easter egg in the video is in abundance you pick up something new after every watch.

Neat things done in the video: 1. Pikachu is 25, it's NatDex number 2. Gimmighoul is 999, which is the coin count needed to get Gholdengo 3. It's Pokémon, I don't need to go further

I love that for the special evolutions, the flipped the image for Inkay, and had the shapes around Goodra be Rain, Pangoro be a moon, Gliscor and Weavile be their items. Man, the attention to detail here is immaculate

Haven't finished the video yet so I don't know if Callum mentions this but during the Paldean bit, most of the clips of each of the new Pokemon seems to be them in their Pokédex image but obviously in motion. Damn, right after I posted the comment he mentioned it lol, nevermind 🤣

They hid some shinies in there too, I love pokemon. Towards the end when they are going through the generations before they show the Gen 9 Pokemon they show a shiny Hisuian Typhlosion. I wonder if there are any other shinies hidden?

Edit: Are you talking about the one in the 905 showcase? That one does seem shiny. Are you sure the Typhlosion was shiny and it wasn't just the light? It's cream belly and flames don't change and the dark purple only goes to a dark blue, tough to tell at night. Edit: On rewatch that one is definitely purple - not shiny.

I came here for the reaction to Rellor... Who else did? I just found out he looked like this today. Who else just found out Rellor looked like this today xD Edit: As I did scroll to the Rellor part first Callum did point out a lot of things I didn't notice the first time watching, such as the orderly structure they showed off the Pokemon "which ones ambush you, fished up, cave dwellers, etc." That made this video even more neat to me now! Idk why dummy me didn't notice that. And of course being Subbed to former HoodlumScrafty and now Hoodlum Callum for 6 years, of course I am gonna watch the whole video and support in that sense, it's a good thing to do for any KZbinr, even if you haven't been there for that long :)

I love this video so much but the OCD in me wishes they included Megas, Gigantamax forms, Ash-Greninja, original color Magearna and spiky-ear Pichu. Maybe the Zygarde cells/cores too since they included the non-playable roaming Gimmighoul and Eternamax. I HATE Pokémon in costumes but they also missed out the cosplay and hat Pikachu and Dada Zarude.
