This is the only set that i went hard on collecting after it got me back into collecting from childhood days. Not touching anything else until team rocket appears maybe few booster packs for the enjoyment of opening.

The exclusive ETB price is wild, considering its just two extra packs and a promo. No where near lines up with expected prices compared to other sealed products.

The Blastoise price chart was for moderately played. Tcgplayer loves to randomly change the condition it's displaying charting for. Hopefully they get that to stop glitching like that eventually.

I love opening 151 because every pack is fun to open even if you get no hits. The art for gen 1 is great and everyone loves nostalgia.

This said speaks a lot to me because I'm under the whole nostalgia thing too two because I was around whenever Pokemon first came out and I collected all them ones. So now I had to get these ones. Unfortunately I don't have none of the illustration rims but I do have all the rest of the cards from the main part of the set and the holographic energies and I just got all those recently to complete what I wanted of the set

I got full master set within the first month of it being released. Bought s total of 10 etb's, 3 upc's, 1 alakazam box, 1 zapdos box, I binder box. Luckily I pulled a lot of the big hitters n used them to trade for few I was missing. Not opened any since.

Personal opinion, but i think this set became so hot because this is the only S&V set that doesn't have just 1-3 cards that are unique from a collector standpoint. Just about every card is really awesome! Like for example, paldean fates had i think 4 cards from the illustration set that were just standout as collector cards.

100% agreed. Every SV set has had one or no chases, then the rest of the SAR slots have been given to the strangest pokemon. Like Surging sparks has durant... seriously?!?! Where is Flygon, or why isn't the ceruledge AR the SAR? They have to be doing this on purpose so not one single set goes way above the rest, like evo skies and team up did.

I got the psa 10 of the trio for 400 before the craze. At that time people were calling 151 the next crown zenith and it was "so fun to rip"..... now its getting so scarce that fun is starting to get expensive lol

We had the pokemon competition in New orleans here a while back and i ended up trading my bulk rares for one of these totaling around 120$! Im so glad i snagged it!

I popped into the Pokécourt and pulled the full art wartortle from a random 151 pack (which would've been $22 trade in/cash). I decided to keep it and maybe grade it at some point

A reprint has been 100% confirmed by the distributor in Australia, so it won't last long.

The Blastoise graph isn't odd...you're just not filtering for Near Mint cards so the graph was for Moderately Played cards, that's why they were under $40

Could it be the reason the box sets are going up cause it’s getting closer to Christmas and folks are getting it for gifts? I’m still needing several to complete the master set but I unfortunately have a hard time spending more than like $25 for a single card so the odds of me ever getting a master set are super slim!

First sale of day one Chicago CAC was my psa 10 151 zard comped it that morning sticker 485$ sold 450$ Got back home Monday over 6 ebay sales for 600$ ++ what is happening 😳 🤔

Full set multiple singles of the top 20 cards and a few shelves full of sealed that won't see daylight for awhile. I told all my friends buy buy buy it's a no brainer

I still haven't completed my 151 master set and I hope the prices go down a little 😅 I think that the pokemon center etbs are so expensive because they would be first print wouldn't they? First print 151 had insane pull rates aswell as the overall price jump on 151. BUT! Look, they just reprinted a few swsh pokemoncntr etbs. So who knows! Maybe in near future sv pokemon center etbs will get reprints aswell! Hope you're having an awesome week! Keep up the amazing work

I think 151 is a very great set but I don't think it's fun to open the pull rates are horrendous

Compared to other sets. They are the best pull rates. Correlation does not equal correlation. Zoom out instead using personal biases.
