Bulletproof seems way better than you seem to think. Many of the moves it invalidates are super common amongst dangerous opponents (Gym Leaders, E4, Champion), and having free switch-ins in those fights is huge. It seems better than berserk tbh.

8:06 For cases like this, I feel like it'd be best to make separate lists for different types of Nuzlockes. For example, Anticipation is ass in a vanilla Locke where you have every enemy's movepool memorized, but as you said, its great in a blind/rando Locke, because of its info-granting abilities. 18:33 If an ability is good enough that it warrants it being banned across several gens worth of comp scenes, I think "pretty good" is the understatement of the year. Besides, most mons that have Chlorophyll have Sunny Day, which means they back themselves up with a boosted stat & a 1-turn 120 power move in Solar Beam. 47:24 I actually really like what you did with the !ability command, basically saying "Hey, only mods can use this, but if you want to use this for yourself, here's where you can find it." Makes it so that viewers can use it, but trolls can't flood chat with it.

I feel like at least for the mainline games, hidden abilities should all be in "too uncommon" for the most part. Since you can't breed for them and you can't chain for them or whatever other mechanic is usually used to get hidden abilities in games, it feels like you will rarely run into them. Sometimes you can get them, but you have to plan way ahead of time how you're going to go about doing it and it feels like you're just "gaming" the nuzlocke. Probably different for romhacks that either let you change abilities or random encounters have chances for hidden abilities, but at least for the mainline games you are almost never going to see them.

I will say, I feel like Dancer should be in low A tier to high B tier. Some of the more popular harder romhacks that get nuzlocked where you have access to Oricorio have a lot of battles where mons try to set up on you. You can abuse this with Sensu (Ghost/Flying Oricorio) because the AI will always try to set up on it in every game that has access to Oricorio, which allows you to get a lot of value out of its Dancer ability.

Castform's Weather ball + forecast makes sure that the 50 power weather ball is always 100 power, and always STAB, I think the combo makes it decent for rain teams, being able to consistently fire off 150power water moves and 120 power thunders with 100% and unmissable thunders are great. And 70 stats all around isn't terrible. I'd recommend anyone to try out castform if you're able to get a single drizzle- or drought mon on your team, it's pretty funny to use as a pivot, remember that you can run say a Rain dance, thunder, solarbeam, weather ball castform even on a sun team, so whenever someone is firing a water-type move you give them the rain boost, but you yourself turns into a water-mon and still has the ability to fire back a thunder. Castform is a great weatherpivot whenever you have drought or drizzle, because you can always just tempo back the weather for your team, and the AI almost never plays around you turning your type from fire to water and back.

I am terrible at nuzlockes, I tried to do a ultra moon nuzelocke, it took me 3 tries, and all three times my starter died, on the 3rd attempt, I won, and my team was as follows. Furfrou Ribombee Scrafty(moxie) Eevee (moral support) I was going to evolve him into an espeon, but I was so confident I was going to lose that I didn't see the point of grinding for 3 hours to catch her up. But I shouldn't have decided so soon, the elite four was a breeze, ribombee for fighting and some help on ghost as well. Scrafty for rock and a little help on ghost as well for dark type And furfrou, the most unexpected member of the team, was insane, and fur coat saved him multiple times, he had crunch, play rough, headbutt, and return. He helped me power through the elite four, and I will never forget that, furfrou went from being one of those pokemon I forget about, to being in top 5 favorites. And if it weren't for fur coat, I wouldn't have won. So I cried when he didn't put fur coat at S+ tier.

Dude, early game Cute Charm is incredibly dangerous when you have to face it, looking at you Whitney. At that point you probably don't really have many special attacks so hitting one of those pokemon with attacks from, say, your starter who will be male most of the time would force you to switch out, and hope that you have a pokemon of the same gender.

Okay but these abilities are rated from the perspective of the player, not their opponent.

Cloud Nine Golduck is a lot better when you take into account that you can negate your own weather disadvantace. For example you can have golduck on your sun team now because it's water type attacks will not be reduced in power and they won't take damage on sand/hail teams Even better on blind/randomized game if you didn't account for a trainer having a fire or solar beam mon on their team and able to counter it without taking down your own weather. It can also be REALLY good for overworld weather encounters since ever if you use a weather move it'll revert back once it's over, the wandering legendaries in swsh dlc for example can be stuck on a hail/sand route making encountering them easier and of course the red fight in hgss
@ultimatedbz24 жыл бұрын
Basically having both cloud nine and swift swim makes golduck one of the very few pokemon that are good on any weather team

If you ever watch the Nuzlocke I am working on right now, you are going to hate how much I relied on Kecleon's Color Change to counter Type Advantages. Crowning moment for my Kecleon was when he took down a Mewtwo that nearly wiped me out.

When randomizing in gen 3, i always love it when my favorite pkmn have battle/shell armor or white smoke/clear body, and when Zangoose gets pure/huge power, i'm double happy XD I don't always randomize wild pkmn, and caterpie with pure/huge power is funny, but gotta watch out. Beast Boost good on Shuckle, eh? :P CB/WS do negate accuracy drops, too. Compoundeyes is great on pkmn with 75 accuracy moves :P I love randomizer, as it gives a lot moreto figure out, even with abilities and TMs(buffed a bit to have more decent/good TMs) alone it's fun to me :)

I’ve only done a emerald randomized nuzlocke which went extremely well. My starter was a Groudon with guts/softsand, Kyogre with minus/misty water, Rayquaza with synchronize/dragon fang, Moltres with speed boost/ charcoal, Snorlax with overgrow/kings rock, and finally a Slaking with magma armor/leftovers. With only three Pokémon dead for getting members of my team as well as a mew which I didn’t use because i like to have a specialized build. I’m gonna start a pearl nuzlocke right now in preparation for the upcoming remake.

In a nuzlocke, I'd assume Aura Break is EXTREMELY niche because it literally only affects Xerneas and Yveltal. In unmodified XY nuzlockes, you can't really use it yourself afaik. As One would definitely be S tier if your Too Uncommon tier wasn't there. It literally has 2 abilities that both are pretty good iirc (one of them is basically just Moxie but specific to whether it's a physical or special pokemon, AND Unnverve which is really good in nuzlockes, at least against the player lol) on a very strong legendary. Oh yea also agreed on Overgrowth/Blaze/Torrent, idk why theres no UI popup for it.
@dogma322 жыл бұрын
dlc legendaries are useless until after raihan, especially calyrex and his steeds. most people dont even pay attention to the dlc either in nuzlockes because all the legendaries are above even leons level.
@hollamonm4 жыл бұрын
I didn't see the stream, hoping that "Run Away" was placed decently high. Reasoning: Put a Run Away Pokemon at the front when backtracking, so long as you fought everyone on the way there, or can avoid them via grass, or some other method, you can avoid getting stuck in a battle if your team got low with an unexpected trainer fight, a move missed and you got critted, it did 99% not OHKO, whatever the reason where you need to run back to the last town, a Run Away Pokemon up front? Provided no trainer battles, really useful for taking shortcuts back through places in order to avoid death of 5 teammates. Eventually they'll disappear as you fill in the full team, but they're useful for running back to healing. Should be freaking S Tier imho.
