A scenario that I came up with that leads up to this battle; Jessie: "So I've heard through the grapevine that our mothers knew each other in the past. Your mother was the head of Team Rocket before you became her successor and my mother was one of her elite agents and your mother sent her on a mission and she went missing. Tell me everything you know!" Giovanni: "You show up to Team Rocket Headquarters and you expect me to tell you what happened to your mother? What nerve considering how many missions your team has failed. I know you didn't get rid of the Rival Teams from Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos! It was that brat with the Pikachu who after chasing him from Kanto to Galar, you still come up empty-handed! Get out of my office now or there will be consequences for you and your team! Do I make myself clear?" Jessie: "I didn't spend most of my childhood in an orphanage just to be rejected by the person who I know has the answers to the whereabouts of my mother! I will get those answers even if I have to fight you for them!" Giovanni: "You dare make threats against your superior? Threats like those aren't taken lightly and you will be punished for such impudence!" Jessie: "Well then prepare for trouble Giovanni!"
