Pokemon BDSP Review Round-Up AND Reaction! Is it worth it? The reactions for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were all over the place back in February, with most of the criticisms being directed towards the art style. Some fans were hoping to see a remake in the style of 2019's Pokémon Sword and Shield, which caused one fan in particular to create a fan-made trailer using this concept. However, no matter if you love it or hate it, the reviews are in for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and they are seemingly mixed, with some outlets loving the remakes, while others expected more.

Wait so there isn't any platinum content? That's a deal breaker for me. I thought everyone agreed that Platinum was the optimal way to play gen 4

@@cosmictrainer2919 not true, look how incredible ORAS turned out.. they should have done what they did with oras, the balance would have been perfect and the game would have made more sales, and it would feel like an actual fun Pokémon game again back then long ago when game freak made quality Pokémon games

I’ve played it, and after reaching Veilstone (as someone that played the OG D&P and Platinum), I am left feeling let down. I preordered the duo version on the eshop, and I wish that I could get a refund. These games will be good for those who haven’t played the OG games, especially Platinum. Not having the enhancements/improvements/additions from Platinum is really the biggest disappointment from these games. If they would have done more to differentiate these from the OG games, then it would have been a good experience. They could have remastered Platinum (maybe call it “Pure Platinum” Lol) as one stand alone game, and that would have been worth $60. As a duo release being $60 each, is not worth it. New players will no doubt have a great time, and these games LOOK GOOD, but it’s not what it’s supposed to be. I’ll run through these again once my preorders unlock, since I paid for them, but now I know having already played them, that the experience will be bland. (My biggest PERSONAL disappointment is the fact that I can’t get Gible early, and Rotom is LOCKED until the post game. 🤬😕😒)

BDSP seems to not be being judge on it own, just seem to be compared to platinum or Arceus. being Judged for what its not, and not for what it is.

It’s being judged for not being good, not what anyone wanted, and lacking in anything worth spending 60 dollars on. Also, ppl who spent 120 on the double pack should be mad as fucking hell. Both ( and I say that half heartedly) games are on a si file copy of the game, it just locks some pokes out on each side. Same story same shit experience, you just pay 60 extra for 9 more Pokémon. Fuck out of here thinking anyone would think this is ok

@@jayplay8869 While I do admit it isn’t anything worth $60, it’s pretty clear that everyone who has a problem with these games all mention platinum or arceus in their reviews, making ocs comment a valid one. The point is for these to be diamond and pearl remakes, not platinum remakes and if that isn’t what you wanted then don’t expect them to be.
