For those curious, the word ACTUALLY being said is "Goetis", pronounced "get-tis". It's a romanization of his Japanese name, and is derived from the Greek word for sorcery. It's also a pun, because another romanization from that is G-Cis. "G" and "Cis" (C♯) are the pitches of the timpanis used in his battle theme. The two notes are also a tritone, previously referred to as Diabolus in Musica (The Devil in the Music) in the 18th century.

As I've already stated, in the Post-game of Black/White, Ghetsis quickly escaped. Before they got him out of the castle, even. The Shadow Triad confirms this. If you're fixated on the fact that they're de-leveled, the whole "level up" concept is never mentioned in the canon, so they were adjusted to compensate for when you fought him.

Just beat Ghetsis in my Black 2 nuzlocke, and it was as anime as I could've made it. So to start out, Francois the Magnezone (who had singlehandedly knocked out Kyurem beforehand) against Cofagrigus - I thought I'd raise my special attack with Charge Beam and sweep through the rest of his team, but I saw his Seismitoad had Earthquake so I just Did Not Do That. Then, Mangle the Tangrowth against Seismitoad - one Sludge Bomb pulled Mangle below half HP, but a Big Root-boosted Giga Drain put her back to full. Instant KO. Then, Spot the Stoutland - a Pokémon I had since about Route 2 - against Eelektross. Two Silk Scarf-boosted Strengths were enough to take it down, though it did do a number on him with a crit Thunderbolt between the two. Then, Blumbly the Altaria against Toxicroak. One use of Fly put it at about 1/3rd HP, but Ghetsis used his Full Restore on it - to which I followed with two more Fly uses to put it down. It did do a pretty big number on him, though - strangely enough, it didn't use the Fighting type move the second go around, and decided to use Sucker Punch. Which is weird, given I'm pretty sure it was faster than Blumbly. Oddly enough, he then sends out Hydreigon, to which I respond by sending out Big Boy the Dewgong. A Pokémon I had caught and trained specifically for this... which turned out to be slower than Hydreigon. And also weak to one of its moves, Rock Slide. Luckily enough, the first one missed - and Big Boy could live through the second one to finish it off with Ice Beam. Finally, Hip Hop the Scrafty versus Drapion - who I'd thought was weak to Fighting (it isn't). After it hit me with Earthquake, I hit it with Brick Break - the second hit from Drapion being a crit. Leaving me with little to no options, given my other two still healthy Pokemon (Francois and Big Boy) were unlikely to do much better, I hit Brick Break again. One more Earthquake... and it leaves Hip Hop at exactly _four HP,_ where it finishes Drapion - and the battle as a whole - with one last Brick Break.
