I was in the middle of catching suicune in alpha sapphire when I was confused as to why I was feeling so nostalgic. After some searching its because the encounter uses the exact same battle music...so awesome!

Old comment, but the reason I believe is due to the overarching theme that YX/ORAS/SM/USUM is on a different timeline from the original games, thus explaining why things like Mega Evolution and Fairy types exist there. They did the same for Anabel in US/UM, she uses the OG Battlefrontier boss theme instead of the remix, because she is from the Original Timeline.

@@byronhampton9543 Yeah thats because they use the GB remix version from HG/SS for some reason might be because of the GBC's soundchip not being able to replicate even though they couldve just ripped it, or they just decided to remix it since the legendary beasts had individual themes anyway.

Mine definitely is. I am still hardcore in love with Suicune. It is the most graceful and aesthetically pleasing to me. Entei is second and Raikou third. Suicune only is tied with Lugia and Celebi for favorite Legendary and Mythical of that generation.

Gold/Silver have a special memories of my childhood. i just remember being in 4th grade in elementary school (Mexico) so i barely had 11 years old, pokemon was in it peak of popularity in that time (season 1) G/S was out in japan (and japanese rom was floating around the net) so my classroom friends only played it trough emulators, a day before we were discussing about how the 3 beast we found in the tower ran away and that you cant capture them because it was just a cutscene but i didnt believe it but i remembered the cry of these beast when you meet them in the tower. that noon (and also night in the game) i remember i was outside the skirts of eucrateak city and mistakenly i step on the high grass and then random battle... but the music sounds... different? and then a WILD RAIKOU APPEARED!!! the cry... it sound exactly as one of the beasts that run away from the tower. tried to battle but ran away... sad that suddenly escaped and didnt saved state (emulator) so i lost my chance to catch a pokemon probably i wouldnt find away. later the same night i had a similar encounter with Entei and Suicune since i wasnt able to catch them and didnt though about screenie them to show off the next day, i told my friend that i found the pokes in the tower and you can encounter them in the wild none of them believe me until the next day they found themselves with the legendary beasts. up to this day everytime i heard that random encounter it always startled me.
