Cyrus will always remain my favorite Pokemon villain. Giovanni is greedy and evil. Archie and Maxie feel a little too simple minded and silly. Ghetsis felt like a very generic rule-the-world type. Lysandre's vision of a beautiful world didn't fit with selling passes from destruction. Cyrus, on the other hand... he truly doesn't care, and that's what makes him so terrifying. He wouldn't spare anyone, including his own group, all for the sake of vision. He's the only villain truly willing to do whatever it takes, and in a roundabout way, he's the only villain to successfully get what he wants in the end.

SageTheDragonFriend Sinnoh won't happen until the era of the DS is over. If we do get them I will definitely buying both :) On another note, They only need to re-remake Red, and blue until every main series Pokemon game will be on the DS! I'd love for Diamond and Pearl to get remade sometime in the future! Here's my wishlist (UPDATED 9/11/2016): - The games are called Temporal Diamond and Spatial Pearl. - The following Pokémon are now capable of Mega Evolving: Arcanine, Lapras, Skarmory, Flygon, Milotic, Tropius, the Sinnoh starters (of course), Luxray, Kricketune, Roserade, Floatzel, Drapion, Hippowdon, Weavile, Giratina, Cresselia, Bisharp, and Vanilluxe. - Dialga and Palkia each can now undergo a new transformation process called Ascension, with changes them into Ascended Dialga and Ascended Palkia respectively. These are the deity forms that they originally had when Arceus first created them. After Creation, the divine energy in their bodies was stored inside the lake guardians, and so they descended to the weaker forms by which they are currently known. In the events of Temporal Diamond/Spatial Pearl, as a last resort to free itself from the clutches of the Red Chain, Dialga/Palkia draws the divine energy from the lake guardians and reclaims its Ascended form. In doing so, it becomes powerful enough to destroy the Red Chain on its own. Enraged by Cyrus’s actions, it is driven into a frenzy and the player must defeat it or capture it. Afterwards, the lake guardians take the divine energy back from the dragon and condense it into the Adamant/Lustrous Orb, which is then given to the player. If Dialga/Palkia is holding the Adamant/Lustrous Orb, it will change into its Ascended form after it is sent out in battle. - After you enter the Hall of Fame, the orb associated with the dragon opposite the one you fought during the main story can be found lying on the ground at the Spear Pillar. - Giratina has two Mega Evolutions: one for Altered Forme (A) and one for Origin Forme (O). Like Rayquaza, Giratina has no Mega Stone. It must instead know Shadow Force to Mega Evolve. Certain story conditions must also be met, like how Rayquaza first needed to eat the Meteorite in ORAS. - You obtain your Key Stone in Celestic Town after you defeat Team Galactic there. You can customize your Key Stone accessory by visiting a jeweler. - The game features move tutors who teach certain moves to Pokémon (the elemental punches, Signal Beam, Superpower, etc.) in exchange for colored shards. Instead of being scattered around Sinnoh like in Platinum, all of the tutors are now located in Veilstone City in the building that used to be a Game Corner. The jukebox in the move tutor building will play a remix of the Game Corner theme from D/P/Pt when turned on. - TM94 (which contains Rock Smash in XY and Secret Power in ORAS) now contains Defog. HM06 now contains Rock Smash and HM07 now contains Rock Climb. Secret Power is now a tutor move. - The Gym Leaders are fought in the same order as in D/P. Each Gym Leader has the same team as in Platinum except for Fantina (who instead has her D/P team) and Candice (who has her Platinum team, but with Glaceon instead of Sneasel). - After you enter the Hall of Fame, the Renegade Episode begins. The Renegade Episode is a post-game mission with a new story featuring Commander Saturn, Charon, Giratina, and the Distortion World. Shaymin can be caught at the end of the episode. - Sinnoh’s climate is the same as it is in Diamond & Pearl except for the northeastern part, which is tropical as in Platinum. However, during the Renegade Episode, snow falls from the sky in southwest Sinnoh, including Twinleaf Town and the nearby routes. Battles in said area feature hail. - The outfits Lucas and Dawn wear from the start are based on the ones they wear in D/P. At the beginning of the Renegade Episode, your mom buys you a new outfit in response to the drop in temperature. This new outfit is based on the one Lucas/Dawn wears in Platinum and it must be worn throughout the Renegade Episode. After completing the episode, you are free to switch between the old and new outfits by visiting your house. The old and new outfits are called the DP Outfit and the PT Outfit respectively. - After the Renegade Episode, you can have rematches with the Gym Leaders at the Battleground. In said rematches, Roark’s Tyranitar, Gardenia’s Roserade, Maylene’s Lucario, Crasher Wake’s Floatzel, Fantina’s Gengar, Byron’s Aggron, Candice’s Abomasnow, and Volkner’s Luxray can Mega Evolve. - You can go to the Battle Frontier after the Renegade Episode. The Battle Frontier has all of the same facilities as in Platinum. - After the Renegade Episode, you can go to the Hoennoh Temple - a hidden ancient temple with a mysterious connection to the Hoenn region. There are five puzzles to solve in this temple. Three of these puzzles give you access to each of the three legendary golems from Hoenn. The remaining two puzzles give you access to the Red Orb and the Blue Orb. After the two orbs are obtained, an old Draconid woman walks into the main chamber and gives a brief summary of Hoenn's lore involving the weather trio. This woman can teach Dragon Ascent to Rayquaza. - Cyrus has his Platinum team, but now his Weavile can Mega Evolve. Cyrus’s Key Stone is embedded in his Mega Cufflink. - Cynthia has her Platinum team, but now her Garchomp can Mega Evolve. Cynthia’s Key Stone is embedded in her Mega Brooch. - After the Renegade Episode is completed and you’ve unlocked the National Pokédex, the Elite Four and Cynthia have higher-leveled teams during each of their rematches. In said rematches, each Elite Four member has their Platinum team plus a sixth Pokémon from Gen 5 or 6 of the trainer’s specialty type. Aaron has a Scolipede, Bertha has an Excadrill, Flint has a Talonflame, and Lucian has a Gothitelle. Furthermore; Aaron’s Drapion, Bertha’s Hippowdon, Flint’s Infernape, and Lucian’s Gallade can Mega Evolve in the rematches in addition to Cynthia’s Garchomp. - In the main story, a trainer in Hearthome City gives you a Happiny egg as in D/P. In the Renegade Episode, Cynthia gives you a Togepi egg. - The Looker subplot from Platinum is back. - The honey trees are back. A Pokémon that appears in a honey tree has a high chance of having its hidden ability and is guaranteed at least two IVs of 31. - The game features a new and improved version of the Pokétch, with a smartphone layout allowing for easier access to the apps. PokéRadar, Vs. Seeker, PSS, Pokémon-Amie, and Super Training are now featured as Pokétch apps. There is also an app which allows you to call Professor Rowan and ask him about evolution, abilities, and egg groups of Pokémon in your party. - Amity Square has been expanded. More “cute” Pokémon can follow you in this area, including (but not limited to) Mawile, Axew, and Dedenne. Walking with a Pokémon in Amity Square increases its Affection. - Contests, Poffins, and the Fashion Case are back. Mega Evolution is implemented in the contests like in ORAS. Shiny Pokémon are awarded bonus points in the visual round. - You can participate in contests with other players online. - The regional Pokédex features all of the Pokémon from Platinum’s regional Pokédex plus Sylveon and all non-mythic legendaries native to Sinnoh (Shaymin is no longer mythic). - The two games each have the same version-exclusive Pokémon as the original pair of games (the fossil Pokémon, Stunky, Glameow, etc.) plus new version-exclusives from the Platinum expansion. For example, the Electabuzz line is exclusive to Temporal Diamond and the Magmar line is exclusive to Spatial Pearl. - Poké Ball Seals are back, and there are more of them. - The Explorer’s Kit and the Sinnoh Underground are back. You can create a secret base in the Underground like before. Players can now play with each other in the Underground via Wi-Fi. Special digging spots, sphere vendors with rare items, and other players’ secret bases can be unlocked via StreetPass. Certain Mega Stones from earlier games, such as Aerodactylite, can be obtained by digging in the Underground. - If you’re lucky, you might find a “strange rock” while digging in a wall in the Underground. If you choose to pull the rock, a cave opening will appear in the wall where you were digging. The opening will take you to a Hidden Dungeon, a small secret area where wild Pokémon and a treasure can be found. A Hidden Dungeon may be an underground cave or a secluded area in the overworld that can’t be accessed by any other means. The layout, Pokémon, and treasure of a dungeon are procedurally generated upon the dungeon’s discovery. A dungeon’s treasure is guarded by a wild Boss Pokémon, which ambushes you as you try to pick up the treasure. A Boss Pokémon is on a higher level than any of the other wild Pokémon in its dungeon, it always has its hidden ability (if applicable), and it is guaranteed at least three IVs of 31. After the Boss Pokémon is defeated/captured and the treasure is obtained, you will be given the option to invite an online friend to try out the dungeon you just completed. After your decision is made, you will be immediately transported back to the Underground where the dungeon entrance once was. - The GTS building in Jubilife City has been replaced with a Battle Institute. - Shaymin now has its own battle theme; a "flowery" remix of the wild battle theme. - The Elite Four battle theme is now more distinct from the Gym Leader theme and is not just the same song played in a lower key; the instruments are also different. - After being featured in FR/LG and HG/SS but absent from OR/AS, location previews are back. - The game features a music player in the starting menu and as a Pokétch app. Each song becomes unlocked when you first hear it during the game. - If the game is being played on a New 3DS, you can use the C-Stick to rotate the camera position in battle or to look ahead in any direction when in the field. - FUN IDEA: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup each have a new voice-acted cry like Pikachu does.

Colton Riffle I'm not sure if Primal Reversion will be a thing for Dialga & Palkia. Apparently they are more ancient than Groudon & Kyogre. Storywise Groudon & Kyogre both were in a deep slumber after their tremendous fight against each other. After being asleep for so long they lost their Primal Powers. Dialga & Palkia have not been in a deep slumber as far as I know, but something similar to Primal Reversion is not unlikely to happen to them in a remake. I guess you know that Arceus was intentionally meant to be available in DPPt, so I'd like to think that if Dialga & Palkia might get some kind of new Forme or something similar to Primal Reversion and that it has something to do with Arceus. If we are getting DP remakes I'd love to see something different with Giratina, somehow change its Griseous Orb to something more than it already is. Or give it a certain move so that it changes completely, something similar to Mega Rayquaza I guess.

His motive, to destroy the current universe and recreate it in his image, is clear and concise, determined to not anything stand in the way of his goals. He knows that you won't be dissuaded, and will strike you down if you try to match his power. No other villain in the series thus far has had a goal such as his. He wants to literally tear asunder the forces of time and space, killing everyone in the process, to achieve his goal.

The battle against him in the Distortion World is, for some reason, the most epic Pokemon battle I ever fought. Well, maybe next to Red. It's just so awesome. That music. Being able to execute cool strategies if you haven't overleveled. Getting everything out to pull off the last move. Perfect.

He was using Dialga and Palkia to do so, but he disrupted Giratina in the process because she(I always thought it was a she) controls both time and space. And since he thought she was disrupting his plans, he set out to destroy her in the distortion world. Cyrus never meant to find Giratina, but you're right. If he knew about her and knew how to control her, Cyrus would have most likely succeeded.

Actually, Giratina doesn't control time and space. Giratina is the master of chaos and distortion, the opposite of time and space if you will. Giratina is the balance to Palkia and Dialga, having a power both equal and opposite to them. Giratina came on the scene because Cyrus threatened the balance of both worlds. Regardless, Cyrus is defiantly the best villain in Pokémon. He's also the hardest. He's the only boss I've ever lost to. It was only once but he was tough! How's this for proper English?

In order for an RPG villain to be memorable he/she must have a coherent backstory and motivations for what they do. Most interesting villains either had trouble growing up or started out good, but became corrupted by power, loss, or betrayal. A few are not characters themselves but representations of greed, vengeance, or divine judgment. In the resolution the hero must have learned something important or the villain must be redeemed.

The only thing I would do differently (Out of personal preference) is give Metagross its mega stone, since it gives it a hefty speed boost, making him even more of a threat. I'm totally buying these games :D even though i've already played them a lot of times for free in emulators i haven't enjoyed the rest of the game because... 1- i am always doing something on pc and it is always "play a game or do something more productive on pc" 2- games like pokemon are like....long term games, you do little and small things like in a week, something such as training pokemon the right way and catching the right pokemon and training them to lvl100 take a really long time 3- I love the series and i feel like supporting them, not like they need it, but it wouldn't be bad to buy original copies of my favorites xD 4-One day when i'm older i'd like to turn on my (future) NDS xD and play these games and feel like.....back in time. 5- I'd like to taste more often those battles with other players

Just give him a team of 6 Pokemon. More Type coverage and hopefully a mega Weavile (he needs one badly and it is his ace, i mean, come on..) I know he is evil and dark and all that shit but freaking give him pokemon that are not flying or dark types. His team was terrible for such an amazing character.. I always hated him for having such a bad team.. (still the best villain tho. his personality gave me chills lol)

However, Fleurdelis (i think thats his name), Team Flares boss' ace is a Gyarados and in the Anime, the fire chick in the elite 4 (she used to be in team flare) uses a mega houndoom. Also, I think his ace should be his mega. Wouldn't be fair to just randomly change his ace.:P Also, I would love to see a mega Weavile :3
