Ian Cartwright the attack did 9 damage, and -1 leaves your attack at 2/3 of its value. 9x1.5 (3/2) = 13.5 which I assume pokemon would round up to 14. Even if we assume that this was a minimum damage attack the most it'd differ by is roughly 17~18%, 13.5x1.17= 16 damage. Skidds woulda been fine even if the original 9 damage was a rounded down 9.4. TL;DR: Skidds didnt need no darn intimidate

Just for the sake of accuracy @ Swampert dying to confusion, since they were so kind as to provide us with a screenshot of Swampert's stats at 4:50: 97 Attack w/ 40 BP versus 90 Defense (133 HP) 13-16 (9.7 - 12%) -- possible 9HKO. Skidds was at 17 HP after confusion (go to 8:33), and would've been fine regardless! :) (Source: Pokemon Showdown damage calc) Oh, and Curse does 1/2 of the user's max hp when used by a ghost type, and does 1/4 damage to the opponent at the end of every turn, if they do not switch. #themoreyouknow

Grant, for real, until you guys started these playthroughs, I didn't pay any attention to any kind of type charting or anything for Pokemon. I had no idea what a Nuzlocke was and I just played casually. After watching these from the beginning and hearing/seeing how involved you and the guys got, I really got into it. My Moon playthrough has easily been the most in depth and interesting time I've ever had with a Pokemon game, ever since I first played Red on my GB Color after school at daycare. Thank you, for not just reviving my love of these games, but also making them so much more interesting. So just remember that for every person who leaves a shitty comment or tries to say you guys don't have any real love for this franchise, there are just as many of us that seriously appreciate these. Because Grant doesn't pay attention to numbers, here is how curse works for ghost types: The user's loses half of their maximum hp The target loses 1/4 of their hp each turn, this effect can only be cured by switching out, it also ignores protect/detect and in later gens will ignore substitute If used correctly, it is a _very_ powerful move, but probably not the best choice for nuzlockes

maybe I'm in the minority here and I'm cool with that, but I would hate if they had to start all over again because of a team wipe. let's look at the facts: they've done gloriously in gen 1 and 2, even pulled off a gen 7 nuzlocke for funzies. and they always followed the rules (I think with the exception of once I can't quite recall). this isn't some tournament or charity run. It's a light hearted let's play that's made really well by guys who work hard to pull out daily vids. So relax. from my end, they deserve a freebie like a team wipe
