Chemist here. To explain water expanding when freezing. Water has the ability to do this thing called hydrogen bonding- on the O-H bond, the electrons are shared very unevenly. This makes the hydrogen slightly positively charged. The hydrogen forms a weak bond with the spare electrons on oxygen of another water molecule. This happens at a pretty precise angle, so frozen water is more ordered than liquid water. This structure is less dense than liquid water. This is pretty unique to water.

water forms a crystal structure when frozen that's why it expands, the water molecules arrange in a big structure, most other solids contract cos they can be closer together, tho some others have weird properties as well :)

I've been replaying crystal and listening to this in the background. Most recently I spent 10 minutes hunting for a Ditto, it transformed into my Togepi and used Metronome which became Explosion, K.O.-ing itself in the process. UGHHH

So I don't know if anyone answered this, but water is a bit unique in that it expands when it freezes. There are other substances that also expand, but it is a very unique and important part of water. If you recall seeing what a water molecule looks like, the one oxygen atom with two hydrogen at a diagonal angle of each other. The molecules do this weird attracting and repelling of each other in a fashion that water expands when frozen instead of retracting. If that didn't happen ice wouldn't be able to float in water and if water froze in the winter it would kill all life in the water by smashing it. There's alot more sciencey information about water but hopefully that isn't too hard to understand while also still answering your question!

I kinda wanted Sir Pickle to leave. Not because i don't like him, but because of him getting a bit underleveled, and being easy to swap with someone from the other team. Also since he's quite a good pokemon getting him on the next team would be fine. Though, not changing anything is fine too. Some change would make for a little extra tension, but the current team has so much lore on it already it's fine to leave it as is.

Also he deserves it because off all bad luck he had earlier episodes (and the 2013 run) the “randomizer” part is all the pokemon,moves,items and trainers and the fact he got rayquaza and shuckle is hard to get when the is something like 1/400 and rayquaza has so many good moves there are 354 in gen3 so his luck was good finally. And also he would lose a pokemon route:/
