That’s if you look too closely to the country’s national or historical context. But it’s easier to choose a self explanatory Pokémon like Cofagrigus. I personally thought infernape should’ve been chosen for china because of its iconic martial arts, and being based off sun wukong (a fictional character in Chinese legends), but I can see why they chose Pangoro instead.
