Giving Niantic the benefit of a doubt, they may have removed the three-step-counter (or deactivated it) because it required more from the server, and they figured that if it was broken, why let it drag the servers while we fix it? Just giving them the benefit

They ban the only way to find Pokemon in the game because the legit way didn't work and then they don't fix the only legit way. Also they reduced the amount of exp we can get from catching Pokemon, did they not notice how much exp it takes to level up? That's because the higher your trainer level is, the more likely low level pokemon will run away/break out.

the Pokémon in the top left are closes, and the ones in the bottom right are the farthest... not that hard to figure out and is there is one in the bottom right and you start walking it will either disappear or move up one place meaning its getting closer.

The 3 step wasn't a glitch. It updating the steps was making the servers crash all the time from all the random updates so they made it just 3 steps. Then they removed it.

Being able to track pokemon like that was really one of the most driving things in the game. I'd drop what I was doing to go out and track a rare before. Now it could be 40m in any direction and there's no point even trying, it's just a let down instead

hey lachlan, if you didnt know you can track a pokemon by clicking on it, your tracker will blink if your going in somewhat of the right direction of the pokemon and wont do anything if you arent going in the right direction. it blinks if your going within 45 degrees of the pokemon, just thought this would be helpful since your always salty about the steps lol

My phone doesn't automatically update my pokemon go unless I update it threw the app store I got my game from a website 3 weeks before it was released in Canada so I still have the 3 steps on my phone. Even tho it's completely broken it's a lot better then no steps.

Guys you need to do some research before you tell everyone how bad you think this update is! 1. They removed the steps from the game for the moment because they were causing too much pressure on the servers. 2. That Nice, Great and Excellent throws don't give exp is currently a glitch and it wasn't supposed to be a feature. 3. Battery saver is still a feature on Android phones because there it actually makes a difference. Basically Android and iPhones work a bit differently because Android phones have a different kind of screen that takes lass battery when darker, however iPhones doesn't have that thus making that feature kinda useless. I'm sure they will find another way of saving battery on iPhones in the feature. 4. This is the only thing that was pretty bad, but it wasn't included in the update. They shut down third party websites because they didn't want us to use those to find Pokemon. I know it's all down to luck right now to find Pokemon but we're gonna have to live with it

for the moment. Also I'm sure new websites will be popping up in the coming days. Don't hate Niantic for removing them, you got to understand that they don't want us to use them and they are trying to fix the Ingame tracker. Also If you go to for example PokeVisions Twitter, they say there that they respect Nintendos and Niantics descisions and you should too. Overall the update was absolutely great (with just a few new bugs that will be fixed) adding recustomization and an easier menu to use for transfering Pokemon. Oh and don't forget the so needed balance changes that will really change the Meta and how we find new Pokemon with great movesets that will be the "go to strategy" soon! Great Job Niantic! I hope to see what future updates has to offer!

Not every android smartphone has an amoled display.... Battery Saver worked only on android because the Pokemon Go App doesn't have permission to turn off the screen on ios. If the iPhone had an amoled screen like some android phones showing a black screen would actually save battery.

sry for my bad english but i`m from germany and i heard that the pokemon on the nearby list are in a distance of 70 meters so it`s not easy to find them and i hate it also that the footprints are deleted but i hope they will fix it very soon

clear you cache, and if you using a g-mail account it may be auto-logging into a different gmail account, theres a few more ways people have fixed this issue, but you can find a post about it on reddit.
