Ditto is incredibly rare. The reason why: it actually disguises itself as other pokemon within the game. I caught mine by chance; randomly deciding to catch anything that popped up by my house. I was incredibly fortunate, because several pokemon popped up in one spot, and out of them, I chose the rattata. After I had caught it, the others that had been there were gone, and never came back, But anyways, back to my explanation. I caught the rattata, and before it did the whole xp thing, showing you what you got, it suddenly changed. And became a ditto. And this, my friends, is why ditto is so rare. Also, I saw a wild blastoise... and my game crashed. When I was on the bus. Pokemon GO loves to crash when an incredibly rare, and incredibly strong pokemon shows up.
