There's a mildly amusing story behind why I've always remembered Dunsparce, even as a kid. I had a poster with every Johto Pokemon on it, even before I'd played any games. Because Dunsparce came right before Gligar, for years I assumed Dunsparce evolved into Gligar due to them both having pointy tails and blue coloring. Nowadays that Gliscor is one of my favorites, I always tangentially am reminded of Dunsparce XD

Girafarig is still more memorable than Stantler. Sawsbuck is the more memorable Deer Pokémon. And Girafarig have similar stats. I grew up with Crystal, but Girafarig let a stronger impression than Stantler on my mind.

Cool. Maybe the type can change to normal/ghost. Maybe the Girafarig in Alola can develop long necks and outgrow thier dependence of psychic powers. They awaken thier inner ghost and get all spooky. Girafarig had a ghostlike early stage in the Beta version of Johto games. So I can imagine it retaining ghostly powers. This would be a great type combo. There would be a lot of immunities and have only a weakness to dark. While we are at it, we can add a form where there is a long yellow girafe neck on one side and a long brown one on the other. Both necks end in heads. There is a beta design for this, and it looks so cool.

Cherubi: The first time you saw Bounsweet, you may have had a strangely nostalgic feeling. As of you saw it already. That's Cherubi. A distant memory, forever out of reach. Cherim isn't really better. Did you knew he had a non sunny form? So if/when there is a Diamond Pearl Remake, I'll use it on my team. I will also try to use Mothim. And all the other Pokémon I forget about. That's how they will be remembered. Not so long ago, I hadn't any opinions about Tympole, and now it's one if my favorite. A stupid nickname, a lot of luck, and now he'll shine forever in my heart.

I mostly only remember Volbeat because of a grudge I have against the species. In Emerald, I used to sometimes spend several hours hunting down this elusive bug to no avail (and since I was a Dex completionist - as much as I could back then, not having a second Gameboy and no friends -it annoyed the crap out of me, and eventually, Emerald fell to the wayside while I played the other games that came out. Years later, during the wait for XY, I was doing a Nuzlocke, AND FINALLY RAN INTO ONE ALMOST _7 YEARS_ AFTER I GOT THE GAME.

I love Elgyem and Beheeyem *because* of the mystery behind them. They're rarely ever found, and are literally aliens. Oh yeah, and I remember one episode where Elgyem and Beheeyem where heavily featured in the Pokemon Black and White anime that I watched when I was a kid that I'm reminded of every time I see it. Also, them being forgettable really makes them feel even more mysterious.

I didn't forget about Volbeat and Illumise because I consider them my least favourite pokemon... Think of a what could be a Lightning Bug/Firefly Pokemon...I personally wouldn't expect little stupid faced teddy bears that try to pass off as bugs that are extremely annoying to battle against...and why two different pokedex slots? they are basically the same pokemon...Plusle and Minun at least have their tag team gimmick and the monkeys are different types but these two are almost the same outside of design and a few different moves...

I too often forgett about Igibuff, but Cleffa I can't forgett after getting it three times in a row form my odd egg in Crystal. And while I remmeber Ambipom, I try not too. While I don't like itäs face, my biggest problem with it is that it's tail-hands just look like inflated latex gloves. They don't look at all practical, like Aipom's did.

I'm currently playing a ROM hack of HGSS called Sacred Gold and Storm Silver, and I find it funny how that game makes a lot of the unmemorable Pokemon listed here more memorable, in some of the same ways, too. Like, for example, Volbeat is actually a Bug/Electric type with buffed stats and some good moves, and Venomoth is a Bug/Psychic with Poision Heal/Tinted Lens, and it absolutely destroys everything (I have one, it's so fun to use!) Phione is even a rare wild encounter, so it's not just a breedject no one wanted. And then there's things like Farfetch'd, who is now memorable just because it's buffed to hilarious levels. And by hilarious, I mean scary if you're ever fighting one.

I recently used a Dunsparce in my Alpha Sapphire Wonderlocke, and it ended up being the mvp of my team. After barely beating Roxanne with it, I kept it on the team and it stayed on my team all the way through the Elite Four and even helped me take Steven's team down. I also used to think that Girafarig was part electric because I saw it use an electric type move once in the anime when I was a kid, and I remember how disappointed I was to find out that it wasn't. The Pokemon that I tend to forget about the most are Komala, Tangela, Igglybuff, Bellossom, Stantler, Volbeat, Illumise, Chimecho, Budew, Burmy, Wormadam, Chingling, Phione, Throh, and Meloetta.

Barboach, Silcoon, Cascoon, Finneon, and Lumineon are nostalgic to me because I ran into them a lot in Diamond, and Ambipom is nostalgic to me because of the anime. I could see Girafarig as an important NPC in a Mystery Dungeon game. Dunsparce was a great character in Gates to Infinity. Once, I saw a "worst Pokémon" thread on Smogon where someone mentioned Lumineon, then someone counter-argued that it was great in Explorers because it has Swift Swim and Silver Wind.
