As you can see, Leon’s suprise stat is maxed out while his experience and tactic stats aren’t; while it’s the opposite for Cynthia, maxed out experience and tactics while suprise isn’t. The way I see it, the more she increased her experience and tactics, the less her suprise stat increased because she didn’t need to rely on such a stat.

Either way, this still confirms that there is no nexus to the events that are about to occur in the anime. In the same way that you can employ your experience and your tactical skills to mount surprises that aim to make the opponent flinch (unless the individual is not very creative, of course), it is also natural that the need to rely on such antics to win decrease as you gain experience and refine your tactics!

I think the experience stat for Ash is correct. Sure he travelled a lot of regions, but his experience with his current Pokémon ain't much compared to the other champions and his current team. Pikachu and Lucario are basically carrying the experience stat

This is accurate. Not just for the characters, but the idea behind it. For a place of sports, people always quantify record information and quantify how good someone is at a certain stat given. And honestly, I very much did see this in each character, and makes a whole lot of sense. And it definitely stands to reason why Ash would have such low stats in his defense, experience, and tactics. - Experience: No matter how many regions he's traveled to, Ash is still a kid against seasoned pros that's been reigning Champions for some time. Their experience would definitely dwarf Ash's. - Tactics: Ash has never been one to make a planned strategy because whenever he does, his opponents generally turn things around, and Ash is the one that has to make something that catches them off guard, hence why Ash's "Surprise" stat is maxed out. - Defense: While Ash isn't bad at defensive plays, as he has Pokemon like Torterra and Goodra, the latter being one of his toughest Pokemon, their style of battling doesn't leave him a lot of room to go by his usual tactics, which is using fast-paced attacks to quickly best an opponent, so when the defenses fail, Ash is a sitting duck and can't quickly adapt.

I would say tactics is what ash really stands out on Yes he is not that seasoned of a veteran compared to others but he knows very much how to adapt to any critical situation when it comes to fight while the surprise stat is very high it's should be higher than tactics. It's just my opinion on the matter , I've known this kid ever since the anime started on episode 1 the one thing I know going for him is his ability to think outside of the box

All are correct but I think for ash the tactics should be little more. Cause remember when battling Sawyer is sword Pokemon he told Pikachu to throw the wood piece towards the sword Pokemon's shield so that he can't use his king's shield. And then at the end used thunderbolt. Similarly while battling steven he used Pikachu's electroweb to trap the tentacles. So tactics should also be a bit high for Ash Ketchum

Strategies are to be made beforehand not during somethin, that is like your doing trial and error. When it comes to strategy you already considered other factors and the result but for ash he comes up when on an idea in a whim that is why his surprise stat is high and not tactic. PLS. think through every word and you will know what I mean

Suppose you planned your strategy beforehand and then failed to execute then what? Obviously your chance of losing is high. But if a person uses his current situation to build strategy and then he can increase his chance of winning . That's the kind of trainer ash is. So it is correct that his suprise stat is high but his tactics should also be high to!

Ash was never one to plan ahead or strategize since most of his method come from SURPRISE or based on the situation he is in like when he told Charizard to burn the ground against Blastoise or as you said, have pikachu use wood to block the stance change

Think for a moment, Dianthe(whatever her name is) she is very competitive, she has moves and tactics whenever she fights, meanwhile ash is more about surprises and we have seen this every single time, I guess it was more noticiable when he was in Diamond and Pearl season, coming out with buizel water barrier or Pikachu with this iron tail. At first I thought Diantha's speed should be at the maximum, since one of hers strengths is that her bond with Gardevoir is so great that even looking at each other is enough for Gardevoir dodge the foe's attacks, and that needs a extreme speed. Competiting saying, it makes sense her Gardevoir has the maximum speed and special attack status too, but... Aurorus and Goodra are not fast pokemon, so I think that's accurate actually, because it needs to be a balance regarding their team + the trainer way of battling, and the way now the anime has show her, Diantha is currently the more "competitive" trainer among them. Also, I think it makes sense the other's stats as well, Cynthia having better stats, Leon having a pretty balanced overall, that one of the Ash's strength is surprise, and that his experience is not that high as the other champions, because even tho we are used to Ash adventures for more than 20 years, we have to remember that he is the youngest among these 4 and everyone there is a trainer since they were kids.

Ash has no experience, he may have traveled every region in each Pokémon series, but he absolutely has no experience but other Champions do. Ash Ketchum may be excited for face Sinnoh Champion Cynthia and THINK he can solve very hardest while being too cocky and overexcited. But this ISN’T the time for Ash to be like that. When he’s facing a REAL challenge he needs to PREPARE for anything without warning. Cynthia’s knowledge, battling experience and overwhelming power that driven Ash into a corner. She pictures any kids complains and movements; including ash’s that they don’t get what anyone mean, nor understand which allowed Cynthia to favor her victory making her easy to win. Not only that, she knew Ash is gonna escape the same combo that allowed Cynthia made which also picture for her favor too. If Ash doesn’t use his head and understand the situation without knowing it he has no chance winning against her. Cynthia knows that everything is predetermined so that she controls every part of the battle. Ash should KNOW by now to battle seriously for he’s against something dangerous and ignore everything else cause when he do… He may overcome Cynthia’s obstacles and expectations.
