I try my best to be welcoming and answer the same questions over and over, but being slightly a dick sometimes is a nice coping mechanism/changeup from the omega helpful attitude. I recently bought Pokémon sword and the last Pokémon game I played was Emerald and Heart Gold. I beat the main story in 4 days just playing casually. It feels like the game has way less content. It’s easier to level up other Pokémon. The rival gets 1 hit K.O-Ed. There’s no elite 4, and your Pokémon don’t get recorded into a hall of fame. You can’t polish your gym badges. It just feels like old school games had way more trainers to fight, more areas to explore without being forced down a single path. Anyone else feel like old school has better content than some of the newer games?

I just did a blind speedrun of fire red (as in I'd never seen a fire red speedrun and diddnt know the route at all) and got about 9 and a half hours. Evidently there are a few places I could save a little time.

Funny. This is basically how I played Pokémon as a kid. Grab Squirtle, use him for everything, and dont even bother with Pokémon centers lol but somehow it took me a week to beat the game rather than 2 hours
