the primarina looking one is probably milotic. In the doc up it says in the notes that it is not fitting a pokemon mood. I think it was a DISTANT beta.

The Typhlosion thing he keeps teasing and going on about without explaining refers to a supposedly cut arceus myth involving a yokai-style story of a Typhlosion and human girl having a relationship. It’s poorly written and probably poorly translated, if real at all. It’s basically a longer and creepier version of that “humans and pokemon used to dine together” myth that ended up in the final game, just another hint that pokemon and humans have a shared ancestor that was rightfully cut.

The big stories that people are bringing up are definitely based on parables and folklore from other cultures, just swapped out with pokemon. They are almost certainly ideas used more for creating cultural lore and flavor text and not actually canon stories that really happened.

Disney/Pixar and other studios put out art books for their movies that contain all the inspiration, references, original concepts, etc.. for their movies. And you can see how the final product came to be. I think Gamefreak/Nintendo could make a killing publishing something similar. It’s also possible that some of the original stories behind these designs maybe missing if people forget/ don’t remember correctly. But regardless I agree it would be so cool if they made something official out of it.

I personally don't see what the point of Mega Zygarde would be. We already have Zygarde's complete form, which never had a role in any Pokémon story (it was in Sun and Moon but had no involvment in the story). So why just not use Zygarde's complete form when it's right there to use ? And besides, a Mega of which form ? Of the 50% form ? In that case I'm just repeating my point. Why not just use the complete form ? A Mega of the complete form then ? Wouldn't that be too much ? It's already a more powerful form than the one Zygarde was introduced as, and they would make it go even further ? And I don't really see a point for a Mega of the 10% form for the same reason as the 50% form.
