The whole point of remakes is to have a better experience than the originals. These games fail to do that. Where are the mega starters? Platinum episode? Don’t get me started on the character and Pokémon models. Now don’t get me wrong I appreciate what they did for the overworld, the chibi designs have a certain charm to them. However the models in battle look like plastic and have no vibrancy to them. As usual the animations are copy and paste from the last couple of gens. I wouldn’t be surprised if they also cut content from the game and release as dlc lmao. Overall the Nintendo and Pokémon community will eat up anything they throw at them. It’s clear these games have the lowest budget possible for maximum profit. They know this fan base is easy to please and are taking full advantage of it Edit: To all the people saying I’m being to judgemental, rewatch the present yourself. They literally said these games would be “Faithful” to the original games. This means no mega evolutions, no fairy type, no new Gen Pokémon and much MUCH more. If this is not the case then that is just poor advertising and misleading.

Probably your Pokémon isnt 2 meters in front but right besides you so that there wont be space problems when you're facing a Pokémon in a small corridor or something similar. Would be funny if an npc with a Pokémon reacts with "Put that thing away, now!" when youre holding up a Pokéball.

The town seems to be the only place in Sinnoh during that time period. Something that could happen would be fighting a powered up/over leveled Pokemon in important landmarks; this will serve as a challenge similar to a gym but will also add a feel of adventure.

It HAS been awhile. Hopefully you are doing well. I'm excited to see what this game is like! It's really cool that it seems to have pretty different playstyle than we're used to, while still allowing us to do it the way we know in case we are not good at it haha (I'm pretty sure I will suck at the new way but it's still neat). I'm excited about the D/P remakes too, since I never actually played through them (got distracted with school or something, dont really remember) so it'll be mostly new for me. Also: do play BOTW! 2021 is off to a brilliant start. Open world Pokémon game, d/p remakes, amazing new Pokémon snap, new Zelda botw 2 info later this year, skywards sword remake, splatoon 3, and PokeTips is back! Also, with the battle mechanics in Pokémon legends arceus, I think what they mean (more so hope what they mean) is that when you throw a ball at a Pokémon and it breaks out it’ll put you into a battle? And if it catches then you don’t battle it? That would be pretty cool

I seriously can’t imagine Pokémon legends being a single player only game. With no options to trade or interact with other players through the game. In the Manga biography of Satoshi Tajiri, it said that when he was trying to think of games to make when he first started out, he looked at other successful games and tried to think about what made them so successful. He realized that every new successful game had a mechanic that no other game head. For example jumping, shooting, stuff like that. And the entire basis of Pokémon was him introducing the new mechanic of trading. I would’ve thought if I had to guess, his new mechanic would be catching. But that wasn’t it. The basis of Pokémon is trading. He got the idea when he was playing dragon quest with one of his friends. And his friend needed an item, and he had tons of those items in his game. And he thought it would be nice if there were some way for him to give his friend the items. So yeah, I really can’t imagine a game that is missing the core mechanic which is the basis of the entire series.
