I hate how you're forced to play as Gary Oak instead of the Eevee we all want to be. At least Ash got turned into a Pokémon that one time in the anime, so playing as him is more like playing as the Pokémon. This "playing as the boring human" problem is why PokéPark Wii is the best Pokémon ever made, ever. I can finally indulge in my sexual fantasies of being transformed into a Pikachu, like Ash. I can befriend other Pokémon in scenes that have clear erotic subtext, as it's obvious the "friendship" is in reality the lustful Casanova Pikachu earning the trust of the Pokémon around it. The game is definately taking the series in a darker, more mature direction. The quicktime events really make you feel like Pikachu. It's also very good value for your money, because the game is going to be supported in the future in the form of paid dlc and an upcoming battle royale-mode.
