That's honestly the feeling I got, too. It brought about the horrific idea of still being here, but not being able to interact with or be seen by anyone. Put yourself in the trainer's place; slowly fading away and confronting memories, but never truly ever talking to anybody. Just... terrifying. I hadn't ever thought about it for this creepypasta before this video and this comment.

I think its more of a story about a victim of darkrai. It all has the feelings of a nightmare. And at the end, what happens to the player? They are trapped in a nightmare by a ??? character. What pokemon would know a move like that? Darkrai, clearly. Also, do note darkrai was revealed in 2007, while lost silver was a 2010 product. So its hightly possible.

Considering that someone here on KZbin actually made a creepy pasta on screen using 8F, it could’ve been possible that in the past, 8F was exploited in silence, used on all those Pokémon creepypasta starting cartridges, and then sold them out into circulation while the victims got the horror of it and probably never said anything. We’ll never truly know.

I peiced together this theory.... This story is about a boy. He buys a game called pokemon silver. He takes a certain liking to one of the songs on the radio. He plays it constantly, throughout the game. He grows to age 16, and befriends all of his family, who most of are atheletes. Each gives him one badge, as it is a family tradition. Screw it! Ive waited too long. Ok, here goes: When he turned 24, he goes camping. He gets lost, and attacked by a bear. He loses both of his arms. He bleeds to death, and dies. He wakes up a ghost, surrounded by graves and armless, in the place he was buried. Suddenly, he gets pulled down into the underworld, where he is white as a ghost and his eyes are bleeding. He meets other ghosts as he wanders. He turns 32, and slowly starts to fade away, losing his legs. Suddenly, he meets his long lost friend. He approaches him, ready to greet his forgotten buddy. He was gone so long, his body and name had almost faded completely. The friend turns on him. He yells at him, wanting revenge for torturing his soul by forgetting him. Im tired. Stopping for now.

Credit to the writing here, this is actually a believable story. For once, the player gives a legitimate reason to keep playing the weird game, since they assume it's just a hacked version meant to troll people through GameStop, which seems to be the case, since nothing happens outside of the game, and everything that happens in-game seems fairly possible in a rom-hack, with no signs of hyper-realistic blood anywhere. Overall, instant favorite.

Honestly, the idea that someone would go through all of that trouble to hack a game cartridge to that extent and then sell it to Gamestop is a ridiculous enough premise in and of itself. Production code is extremely difficult to work with by yourself. You would basically have to be a Bill Gates tier computer genius with a profoundly morbid sense of humor and a shit ton of time on your hands to pull off something like this. Someone like that would be more likely to do something like... I don't know... hack the Jumbotron at a major sporting event and make it say something like "envy the dead, for they can no longer suffer."
