Thats until you realize spinda learns teeter dance, hypnosis, and thrash, which basically becomes a 180 base power stab move, even WITH spindas poor 60 in attack stat is still dangerous if one spinda is doing hypnosis (probably failing once or twice) another is using teeter dance to confuse all nearby lions (if all those spinda have own tempo confusion aint a problem), third ones thrashing the lion repeatedly, while the fourth is under attack.

@@augusto-ug8kw pyroar is the closest we got to a “normal” lion as they are just a lion with fiery manes if you ignore the fact they can light themselves on fire, blast said fire, and use almost all the biting moves including psychic fangs

Okay, but where in the Pokédex does it say that mega Evolution is painful? In which Game? Are you sure you didn't just misinterpret the Corrina and Lucario Arc from the XY Anime?

But the only Pokémon that are stated to be in physical pain under mega evolution are Gyarados, Aerodactyl, Scizor, Sharpedo and on some Level Heracross who just has a muscle ache after it's over. That's 4.5 out of 48 and 4.5 out of around 31 that actually have a dex entry. Most of them just have way too much energy which boosts their emotional state. Granted there are also some who don't like how they look after mega evolving or to whom the energy was too much to bare but there are also Pokémon that are completely fine with mega evolving, making Mega Evolution itself not a necessarily painful thing. It Just depends on the Pokémon.

Pikachu lost to a level 5 fucking snivy who's never battled before even though Pikachu took out insane legendary pokemon like latios, and the regi trio at one point. (Tbf though I think Pikachu got zapped by zekrom overflowing his body with too much electricity so he couldn't use as much of it)
