Happy New Year, Tim! Been really enjoying this LP, I should try commenting more! A protip that's pretty consistent among all the PMD games I've played: if you ever see a green highlighted word in a move or item description, you can use the right trigger (I think it's called ZR on the Switch, I always forget) to select that word and learn more about it. Super useful for learning about the status effects your moves inflict and how they're different from the main series, as well as for seeing the range/details of a TM move before buying it.

Items you need for requests are guaranteed to be on the floor in a dungeon, but apples for random fainted Pokémon aren't. Always worth a few extra for this reason!

Among the other moves that hit every opponent in the room (like Blizzard) are Discharge and Earth Power. The former of which Pikachu gets simply by level up. And for good Rare Qualities: :Narrow Focus: Ensures that all attacks regardless of accuracy will hit as long as the user is in a corridor. Including all hits of multi-hit moves like Fury Swipes or one hit KO moves like Guillotine. Small Stomach: All food regardless of kind will fill the stomach up to full when consumed. Hunger is FAR less of a problem with this. Steamroll: Causes allied attacks to ignore enemy type resistances or immunities. You can use your most devastating attacks with impunity with this.

21:21 You're pretty close, actually. Bonsly (pronounced bahns-lie) is the pre-evolution of Sudowoodo and it is based on a bonsai tree. The Bonsly statue was in the original Red and Blue Rescue teams, but in the remake, you can recruit it. There are a few other Gen IV Pokemon that make statue cameos in the original games, and all of them can be recruited in this remake. 23:43 What Gardevoir is saying here is Pokedex accurate. There are multiple entries about how Gardevoir will protect its trainer with its life. It makes all the more sense given its Japanese name, Sirknight. Like a knight to their liege, Gardevoir devote their lives to protecting their trainers

Nice finds! Yeah Brutal Swing is strange cause I haven't found another move with such a strong range that wasn't room covering. IIRC, there is a Solarbeam TM in your box. When Chuggaa was doing his playthrough, I was playing along and also doing a Pokemon Showcase in the comments to explain how certain Pokemon were changed in Rescue Team DX compared to the regular game. For instance, you found one of them and added it to your team. Ledyba and Ledian are known as jokes in the original games. They are have the stats that make them tanks, but their type and stats are so low, they can't even do that right. To add insult in injury, Gamefreak decided to give them Iron Fist as an ability off their pathetic base 35 Attack... PICHU has higher attack than Ledian. SO what makes them amazing in this game? Well, their moves of course. They get Comet Punch, which is the same as Doubleslap. You saw how powerful that is and if on the same team as Skeeter, it can also never miss with that move. What else do they have? Light Screen and Reflect make them great supports. It makes the entire team more resistant to certain moves. But what about offense? They get Silver Wind naturally, a move that hits the entire room! Yup, they basically get Blizzard for free! The move also comes with a secondary effect of 10% to raise all your stats. Finally... the crux! Agility!!! This move is very interesting in PMD. In the old days it actually just let you move multiple times per turn. They nerfed if post DS era so now it only increases your travel speed. So after 1 use, you walk 2 spaces per turn instead of 1. This stacks up to 4 times, but the movement is actually not what you use it for. It was discovered that when you link Agility + Move, you actually get to go again until you max out the buff. So yes, that means you can attack up to 4 times in a row if you use that combo. So Agility + Silver Wind lets you hit the entire room 4 times. Agility + Comet Punch potentially gives you 20 hits. The best part? Agility also buffs your entire party. So your AI teammates can now get 4 spaces to maneuver before they attack. This opens up a ton of boss fight possibilities and allows Ledian and Ledyba to be incredibly useful!

Finally, some range on moves! Brutal Swing is a G7 move and it shows, since older "adjacent enemies" moves hit only within 1 range of you, but this reaches up to 2 tiles away. Bonsly statue was in the original game, and it was awarded for clearing all stuff in the Makuhita Dojo. It was one of these "hey look it's this mysterious Pokemon you can't own yet!" kind of thing that Pokemon used to do way more often in the past.

Oh my god the old level select for PvZ2. Man, I miss the old PvZ2. The modern version is... Not as good, though there is a lot more modes, both for better and for worse. Honestly the only reason I still play is Endless Mode. That's like, the only permanent fun thing still left. I say permanent because some of the special holiday levels are really fun, but they can only be played during said holidays.

You should try linking Swords Dance first, then Brutal Swing on Absol. It's a great strategy.
