Good to see you know the hint for Monster Houses. Unfortunately it IS possible for the stairs to be in the same room as one. But next time, Groudon.

Kekeke, Magma Caverns is really when things start to get tough. As you have seen, Fire types are really blessed with ranged moves such as Ember and Flame Burst as well as Lava Plume for AOE. Incinerate is a very dangerous move as it destroys items in your bag.. Some other dangers include Sandshrew’s, Golem's and Graveler’s Magnitudes, Nidoking and Nidoqueen’s Earth Power and Rhydon’s Fury Attack. Never before have there been a potential for so many Pokemon that can be a danger to you. Now, here is some advice. Monster Houses should be considered a source of experience and items with the team you have here. Absol can clear out half of one by himself and Skeeter’s Blizzard can back him up. Now for another showcase. You recruited a Cloyster during your time in the dungeon. Interestingly, Cloyster is quite an amazing Pokemon in PMD. Now it is kinda funny since it’s pre-evolution is actually a bit better at the moment due to moveset differences. Shellder gets what is essentially an Ice Type Doubleslap called Icicle Spear. Even better, both of them get the ability Skill Link, which guarantees 5 hits on these moves. In return, Cloyster gets Spike Cannon, which is Doubleslap… but can hit from 4 spaces away. Both of them are amazing encounters and the best part about Cloyster is that while it lacks Icicle Spear, you can easily teach it many good moves from Gulpin. Hydro Pump has the same range as Sky Attack, 10 spaces in front of you and it pierces through all enemies. Spike Cannon is a powerful ranged attack. It gets STAB off Blizzard if you find another TM. Most importantly, it gets fricking Shell Smash. In return for lowering your defenses, you get both a Swords Dance and a Nasty Plot as well as an Agility buff. After one, you can easily wipe out many opponents. Cloyster ends up being a great partner for anyone with Rapid Bulls Eye and if you ever want to make specialized teams, Skeeter can lead one with Cloyster as her second in command.

You note the fart igniting in the magma cavern, but 1) I think magma technically emits poisonous fumes itself and 2) Koffing is full of poisonous gases, so you'd think it wouldn't like being in a place where a cinder/spark could make it blow up

You got kinda lucky with the Gust Trap throwing you into lava, as getting thrown into a tile you can't walk on warps leader and enemies randomly. Prior to Explorers of Sky, this would also randomly warp allies, which is uh... very annoying when you accidentally walk onto a special tile and can't get out without going through ally (since you couldn't push them away in early games). Yes, Monster House can generate in the room with the stairs... or the room you start the floor on. Fun things. Also I am pretty sure Kecleon Shop and Monster House are mutually exclusive; if the game rolls one, it will not spawn the other one. 5:06 - Return in this spin-off is very meh as far as I can tell. Frustration, however, used to have a very interesting niche, before it too got nerfed. These moves used to deal flat damage that scaled based off the now-removed IQ stat, with the range being 5-45. Frustration would start at flat 45 and drop by 5 at certain IQ values, and it was also one of the few damaging moves that in this series had base accuracy of 100% and not something is 98%. It was so good for its niche, that in the last game with IQ, thet Japan-only WiiWare games, it actually got nerfed to have only 70% accuracy and start at 35 damage. After IQ got removed, I think they just turned into normal moves that scale more normally with a specific factor. 26:10 - Oh hey, a thing that can only happen in this release of PMD! Only in this game can you recruit from 2 tiles, in previous games the target had to be next to you. I think I already mentioned it before, but still.

It's a good thing your skeeter knows blizzard because that move destroys monster houses (but the accuracy is a bit of a gamble), heck you (bulbasaur) are going to able to learn a good move that also destroys monster houses.

I think the quote you were looking for is: It is far easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man through the gates of heaven.

it's the long dungeons that are going to make me miss the non-move attack that the GBA version has.
