Agreed! Patience will be key with this set. If we see a repeat of Shining fates type reprints and stock that will help. Attention to other sets will assist. Evo was during the 2020/2021 boom and prices stabilized for a long time. It has only been the last 12 months that has blown ES up in price.

I’m used to “investing” and “collecting” coming from the Funko hobby. Started the hobby up with my daughter just this chrismas. I was 7 when I started back in 98 and she’s 7 now, just felt right but let me tell you, if it wasn’t for me working at a Fred Meyer with 2 pokemon center vending machines I don’t think we’d be able to collect the way we’d like to and get these nice newer sought after sets.

What you forget is the first to market PSA 10. Some buy high to get it and send to PSA to get the 1st 10 to market. There is a big difference in subsequent 10’s.

To the few who would pay such crazy PSA 10 prices yes. Most would be ecstatic to obtain a 10 at all and I would argue most would rather spend as little as possible. Interesting aspect to the conversation. I will keep this in mind next time with the Journey Together early price drops.

I sell a lot of singles on ebay and its wild, two weeks ago I couldnt keep up with demand. Cards would sell almost as soon as listed. As of wednesday of last week card sales have started to slow down. Not sure what that means for the market but thats my recent experience.

I invest and collect, I always have. I love to open packs and pull my top chases as well. Nothing wrong with doing what you like. If it wasn't worth investing in people wouldn't be doing it right?

I agree with you that prices are coming down and will continue to do so. I don’t know where you got the conclusion that these sets will be printed to the ground that you can get them msrp or better lol. The Pokemon company just said that they are aware, and will reprint it, but didn’t specify when and how much. How much more to the distributors? The same as before? Either way, patience is the key, and the hardest part.
