I don't know if this would make it too difficult, but I think since the only reward Peter gets for answering right is that the other two don't get to guess a letter, maybe he can choose a letter than can't be guessed? So they know that letter is in the puzzle (or maybe not, he could pick a letter not in the puzzle to throw them off) but they won't know where it goes? Seems cool in theory, might make it too difficult in practice
