Can't you see why Professor Oak is so excited with the picture of the Pikachu stump? It's because being Professor Oak, he can connect with the tree stump on a deep and spiritual level. He sees it as the stump of a fallen oak tree, which is widely known as symbolism for life, strength, wisdom, power and honor. All things that the Professor, being the brilliant fanatical mind that he is, associates with himself greatly. The fact the stump of such bright and incandescent symbolism has fallen is a terrible foreshadowing of Oak's future. The loss of such radiant symbolism such as life and power prove a that the future holds an unfortunate and abrupt end for poor Professor Oak, and the fact that Pikachu, sometimes seen as the mascot for all Pokemon is perched on top of the fallen stump of his slowly fading future shows that the very thing that has made his life worth living is also ironically the thing that will silence him forever. So you see? Professor Oak wasn't excited with the picture of Pikachu on a stump. He was simply driven to madness in obsession with the thing that he knows will one day spread the forest fire of imminent doom to his door. ...Or maybe he just liked the picture.

A nintendo employee toyed with the idea for a new pokemon snap for the wii u but didnt want to make it since they dont really feel like they could innovate much with the concept. Honestly i agree with the choice. Back in the day not everyone had cameras and you couldnt see how your pictures turned out until you dropped off your filmroll. However these days nearly all phones have a camera and everything just became way easier. Taking pictures now just isnt as exciting as back then.

GameWarpdx You don't have to be a Christian to celebrate Christmas. Plus, I dislike it when people ask other's what their religion is. Mostly because it results in this: "I'm an Atheist!" *muslims and christians unsubscribe* "I'm a Christian!" *atheists and muslims unsubscribe* "I'm a Muslim!" *pbg loses half of his subscribers* (stupid stereotypes) And so on and so on. Ah Pokemon Snap. I've such fond memories of taking pics, then heading down to blockbuster with my family where my brother and I would print them out. We've probably got a ton of them at home somewhere. I miss silly but fun gimmicks like that.

My parents got me that game for Christmas thinking it was an actual pokemon game.

This was one of the very few games I owned on the N64 that I was good at.Once I took a picture of mew and when prof Oak judged the angle he was like ITS PERFECT and gave me like 5000 points, so the photo scored 9000 and my jaw dropped to the floor.
