don't doubt electrode's speed, even the rental. Its the FASTEST thing in gen1. MAYBE Aerodactyl/Jolteon/Mewtwo will outspeed the rental, but nothing else.

The way I dealt with the gym leader castle Tentacruel was switching out of wrap, which you can do in gen 1. They don't get to continue wrap if you switch, so you can hope for the 15% miss the next time they go for it, and keep switching if they hit. I had to stall out all their wrap PP to win, it was a horrible experience.

The ROM used in NSO is actually unmoddified. Stadium 1 had three revisions. 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2, and the 1.2 version actually changed Jynx's model to be purple, and it's that revision that is used on the Switch NSO.

Youre complaining that the burglar, a Fire type user, is in Sabrina's Gym and not Blaine's, and that the Psychic is in Blaine's Gym but not Sabrina's. Remember that in Kanto Sabrina gives you the Marsh Badge and Koga the Soul Badge. They totally mixed that one up as well.

the badge thing is a translation issue. in japan they were the "gold badge" and "pink badge". all the gen 1 badges were named after colors in japan as it would happen.

That was a very lucky Pika-Cup run. No Lv. 20 Tentacruel or Gyarados in the Semi-Finals and no Dragon Rage spamming Dragonair in the finals. I remember struggling hard and trying for hours, wasting all my Continues and still failing against these two trainers because of these Pokémon.

Dragonite with Fire Blast and Thunder is really useful. With those moves it can counter Water and Ice Pokemon, both of which can use Ice moves (provided those moves hit lol). Some of the movesets of those rentals are really unbalanced. Dragonite has a good moveset in this cup but some have the worst they could have. Or in the other cup were they "balance" the Pokemon, by giving the stronger pokemon and evolutions worse moves than the weaker ones and the previous stages. This causes Alakazam to be much worse than Abra.

Yo Pika I wanted to tell you about this really really good 3rd party pokemon game called Pokemon Peridot. It's based on GSC graphics but whole new region and story, some fakemon from GSC's demo days, some modern moves, and lots of other things. I like a lot that during the gameplay you snake around the region a lot so you like cut through towns you've been through in a cool way. I heard you can do gyms out of order too and they have updated teams for how many badges you have.
