Pokemon Stadium 🎮 Prime Cup: Master Ball - 17/20🔥

Welcome to my walkthrough series of Pokemon Stadium! In this playthrough, I will cover the gameplay of all the Pokemon Stadium Cups (including Pokemon Stadium R2): Gym Leader Castle, Poke Cup, Prime Cup, Pika Cup, Petit Cup, and the final showdown against Mewtwo: the final boss of this game! Prime Cup (Japanese: ウルトラカップ Ultra Cup) is one of the four Stadium Cups in Pokémon Stadium.
In Pokémon Stadium, the Prime Cup is the only Cup that does not originate from Pokémon Yellow's Colosseum 2. Instead, it is based on the regular Colosseum battles, which have no special limitations. As a result, all Pokémon, including powerful Legendary Pokémon such as Mewtwo, are allowed. There are no level restrictions in the Prime Cup, so all of the opponents will have level 100 Pokémon.
This is the only area in the Pokémon Stadium series where Mew can be used. In Pokémon Stadium, the male Cooltrainer will have a Mew during the final battle of the Prime Cup Master Ball division. Also, Mew will be available as a rental Pokémon for Pokémon Stadium's Round 2 Prime Cup.
In Pokémon Stadium, there are four levels of difficulty: Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Master Ball.

This is doable with rentals. I used Jynx, Electrode, Dugtrio, Fearow, Kadabra, and Starmie. This team counts on speed for critical hits and luck for lovely kiss and thunder to not miss.

Hey, Chris? In case you missed it, at the final battle at the prime cup master ball, I used Diglett to use Fissure to kill Cloyster and then at the end, after killing Mew using Electrode and Nidoking, I used Horn Drill to successfully kill Rhydon and wrap up Prime Cup Master Ball!

Yes, i used rental pokemons during ALL my childhood. And cups like the masterball are a serious pain in the butt if you dont use your own pokemons...

i can tell you what you can use nidoking jynx zapdos starmie gengar the last one you can choose. the 5 above are the main pokemons i used because i never used red blue yellow green on my stadium. the gengar and zapdos are important when you have to battle gambler on master ball cup r1 zapdos is for blastoise tauros slowbro dragonite arbok, gengar is for tauros dragonite arbok when ever a pokemon uses horn drill that only tauros and dragonite are using when you have zapdos in battle then you switch it into gengar and when tauros blastoise slowbro arbok dugtrio using fissure then you switch it into zapdos everytime you're using this trick and when the moves are fissure and horn drill of tauros are 0 then you can fight it with a gengar because tauros can only use normal attacks then on r2 when you battle agains gambler then he will using a nidoqueen which can use horn drill and fissure also but then they can use it max 8-10times each pokemon that has the move horn drill and fissure. and jynx can be used for mew on battle 8 because mew will use thunder wave and psychic thats why jynx is a good match for it because jynx has the move lovely kiss and that will let it sleep for a big chance thats how i played my game always this is for r1 and r2. i also need to upload mine but i need to buy a new pokemon stadium because i don't want to corrupt my game

i see you changed rhydon but why did you do that when arcanine used hyper beam it wouldn't even damaged big. r2 gambler is pain in the ass not only gambler there are a few quite more like adam labman cool are the hardest in r2 you can use mew if you want but it wouldn't really matter if it helps or not i defeated 7 in r2 easy but cool is just to hard.

epert333 Arcanine didnt used hyper beam, it was Electrode (asumming you're talking about the final battle of this cup), as far as i remember...i didnt changed rhydon, being a rock type pkmn he can endure normal attacks. Correct me if i'm wrong and you were referring to another battle. And yeah...Gambler's annoying in any round, his battling style involves using OHKO attacks, this used to piss me off when i was a kid/noob in the pkmn universe, lol.

Nice video. Some of your strategies could be useful for my Rental only runs of this game. It looks like you're using an emulator on the quality of the video, was it difficult training and importing your personal team?

Thanks for the comment. Training my personal team was very time-consuming. my objetive was to max their stats as high as posible while teaching them great moveset and covering as many weaknesses as possible ( ex: Persian have bubblebeam, which i rarely use it unless he's fighting against a rock pokemon such as Golem or Onix). I dont really recommend anyone playing the prime cup masterball with rental teams because its a pain in the butt. I dont even want to mention the prime cup in R2: it is practically unplayable with rentals because of the insane difficulty level.

***** There's a decent amount of KZbin video makers that have done Let's Plays of this game with Rentals only, I myself am currently working on the episode where I tackle the Prime Cup Master Ball with only Rentals, and it's not really that dificult if you just choose the right team.

Gogoku7 I've beaten just about everything I've done in Pokémon stadium using only rentals. In R1, its possible but tricky, you just need the right pokemon and they don't often have to be the strongest like I remember using a kadabra and haunter in the master ball for the prime cup. After R1, you really can't beat R2 with rentals unless you have extreme luck or the perfect or best rental team. There's probably some guides for it, but R2 is just extremely difficult, even broken as you'll fight Rhydon and Arcanine at like level 20 in the pika cup -_-
