My favorite thing to do against Gyarados decks is too use hitmonlee to KO a magikarp on the bench, then use Pokemon Flute the next turn to put the Magikarp in the bench and KO it again 😂

The sequence for Marshadow is quite tricky. The ideal scenario for Marshadow is to KO the opposing pokemon (preferrabbly an Ex) by its Revenge ability. If the opposing pokemon cannot be KO'ed by the Revenge and can kill marshadow on its turn, then Marshadow setup as the second pokemon is a losing game. If you can read the board this way, then better put Aero Ex as second pokemon, and switch to another pokemon before Aero dies. That is why I prefer fighting decks with just 1x-Marshadow becoz it requires specific setup-sequence to be good.

It proly doesnt fit into the meta game but my favoriten deck to play currently is greninja, dragonite, chattot. Its very fun to play and i won more games with it than i should

I like the Aero/FF deck the best. It trades a worse MU against Pikachu for more consistency and having room for a second Hitmonlee is important for the Gyarados MU. I've also figured out the optimal winning setup against Mewtwo if you manage to get two stretch kicks against backline Mewtwo and a single FF hit on the Frontline Mewtwo. Even if they land Gardevoir on curve they cannot deal with a Marshadow in the back with Giovanni. And this is assuming they get both Mewtwo's. If they don't just the two stretch kicks/single hit from FF is sufficient for winning the game.

great analysis video! ive been using primeape and aerodactyl a lot and can attest to the win rate it has firsthand. I like to add hitmonlee to troll magikarp players lol
@Hammerbruder9915 күн бұрын
Spragels recently showed a Primeape/Marshadow/Hitmonlee deck without Aerodactyl EX where you're running two of each. So far I had a great experience with this variation. There is no need to be able to tank a stronger hit from an EX card when your opponent doesn't attack your active Pokémon because of Marshadow in the back. :D
@mikeobama6915 күн бұрын
I played that variation in 2tournaments already it did quite poorly. You really do need the aero btw half the reason it's there is to stop eggs from evolving when you are going first
@FrostySnow100014 күн бұрын
I use that deck too, it's just a basic fast haymaker and I like it. The threat of early damage does affect the opponent's decision making.

Been trying to fugure out who pigeot ex's best partner pokemon and this video gave me some ideas. Ive been trying the drudd to set up but it doesnt feel very good. I wonder if farfetched marshadow would be a better early game pressure so pigeot has less work to do in the endgame. I also wanna try exxecutor, i think the hp pool and 1 energy attack work perfect for pigeot.

I've put my own take on the Dragonite deck with the new Raichu cards instead of greninja because that 20 damage to each benched mon on top of the base 60 really can add up fast also I made my own fairy deck with 2 Gardevoirs, 2 florges, 2 slurpuffs and mew ex and it's definitely a game changer it's become my own signature deck lol

@Archangel12515 күн бұрын
Do you use a surge with raichu? Because dragonite already takes four energy and raichu is three, that’s a lot
@jomsies14 күн бұрын
your fairy deck has too many stage 1 and 2 pokemon imo. why the garde tho? florges and slurpuff can be played on the normal energy curve.

Melmetal + Greninja (pure Steel energy pool w/ Misty) is still my personal favorite deck to play, definitely in part because I designed it myself and it's so different from everything I go up against, but it's also just fun imo. Consistent 120 damage starting on my third turn, plus Greninja shenanigans, just feels good. It definitely struggles against a number of meta pieces tho

2 Druddigon, 1 Pidgeot, 2 Pidgeot EX and a Mew Ex is my favourite deck right now. Druddigon is a monster if you let it actually attack as well. Pidgeot is always good if you're bricked or out of Sabrina, Pidgeot EX deals good damage, even without any bench. Mew Ex is a flex for the deck and is good for anti-brick. It's not perfect, but I find that without it or running something like Chatot just isn't good. Without it, the brick hits hard. With Chatot, I found I was just shuffling cards more often than unbricking myself. Even other budget picks, like Kangaskhan, MI Tauros or even Farfetch'd provide more than Chatot does, in my opinion. Ultimately, Stage 2 support is what holds back every deck that runs it right now, save for Psychic. The Slab provides them up to 2 extra, free, draw potential that other decks do not have access to. While it isn't as strong as a Pokémon Breed Supporter or, God forbid, a Rare Candy Item, it still provides them more speed that is exclusive to them. While I run Pidgeot, I don't think it is the strongest deck, I like to play it. Pidgeot is my favourite ird and even though I get bricked on my Pidgeotto (a lot), I'll still run it. It'll be a nightmare when there is Stage 2 support, though.

I've been running a weezing stall deck with wigglytuff ex and pidgeot ex. I either use weezing or promo jigglypuff to stall and get a wigglytuff or pidgeot full of energy. Stomps celebi and mewtwo really hard. You'll want leaf, x speed, koga, and sabrina in this deck too. Pidgeot is hard to get out but 170hp and massive damage potential is nothing to scoff at.

I kept on struggling against Aero/Marsh deck. I'd been using Machamp deck with 2 lee, 1 chan and 1 fetch and I had a good match-ups on most decks except the one I mentioned since most of my cards are within that 80hp mark that 2 copies of Sabrina from that deck make my deck suffer even having my ace online. The reason why I chose 1 hitmonchan instead of 2 Farfetch was for that pikachu deck.
