I remember watching the movie back in I think it was 99 or 2000 [can't remember which year it came out] but the guy narrating clearly said that the film was about the most powerful pokemon ever lol. Since then Mewtwo has been my favourite, also Charizard as the first time I played Fire Red I cleared the entire game using only my Charizard and no other pokemon [pokemon league I employed help from the legendary birds but that was it]. When I completed the Indigo league my Charizard was at level 81 solely because it was the only pokemon I had used the entire game bar the legendary birds. Sorry for droning on, I just had to tell someone lol.

@leroy shankins I have a headcanon about Arceus you always see him wearing that golden ornament on his body. Most people think it's just decoration, but I don't think so. Silvally was created to mimic Arceus, but they ended up putting a helmet on him to limit his power because they thought he was too dangerous. So what if something similar happened to Arceus? Maybe a human or even Arceus himself putted the ornament on him so that he doesn't accidentally destroy everything in the universe.

I agree! I mean, you DO see stories cropping up that are based on the storyline of the main series games, true... But you also see stories based on the Mystery Dungeon games. One difference? The Mystery Dungeon comics have something that most of the mainstream games don't- More playability. WAY more. Because of that, one could say that due to the amount of content one can find in the post-game in Mystery Dungeon (After any post-game story, I mean), one could always still think of a story somehow...

This theory works for Rescue Team and Gates to Infinity but not for Explorers, since in Explorers it is explicitly stated the player is from the future. That said, I always had a gut feeling the world of Mystery Dungeon was really just a post-apocalyptic version of the canon world, so for that, I thank you for giving me the closure I always needed.

Proto, I think that Gengar from Red and Blue Rescue Team might be Wally. I searched up "Gengar is Wally" but not much really came up. Firstly, R & B Rescue Team came out in the same generation as Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. Wally also had a Gardevoir in the original games, so there's that as well. We also know that there are Vulpix in Hoenn so it would be possible to come across a Ninetales. I think that what happened was Wally grew colder towards Brendan/ May, and tried to catch stronger Pokemon. He eventually found Ninetales, who cursed him. Gardevoir took the curse for him but Wally was scared and ran away. Yeah, I know there's not much evidence, but it's still something that I like think about; how this shy little boy could have grown so cold over time.

Personally, I've always thought that the reason the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games never really meshed in any way with the other games of the Pokemon series was because they were actually a widely popular in-universe RPG series, a fictional work from the actual Pokemon universe. Seriously though, take a second to imagine if the people that made the Final Fantasy game series lived in the Pokemon universe rather than our own relatively mundane universe; the game those people would make probably would've ended up as something very similar to the Mystery Dungeon games we are familiar with, if not identical.

One of my biggest disappointments with the Delta Episode in ORAS was that they missed out on an opportunity to make a striking parallel to the first Mystery Dungeon game. Wouldn't it be cool if the parallel universe Zinnia described wasn't the original RSE, but the universe of R/B Rescue Team? After all, that game *also* features a meteor from nowhere and the protagonists must contact a Rayquaza to help destroy it, and it would give a more definite sense of the Mystery Dungeon games as being AUs of the main series.

This theory would make sense...if not for the fact that team plasma's goal isn't actually pokemon liberation. I mean, a lot of the grunts do fight for that goal and genuinely believe in it, but Ghetsis wants to just rule the world with his pokemon while nobody else can defend themselves since they have none

Did you know that Team Plasma is a referrence to Masonry. They said to free pokemon but what they actually want is to get power over everyone by monopolizing pokemon for their exclusive use. They enslaved millions of pokemon centuries ago to build what is currently N's Castle (or it was until it got destroyed), mostly likely it was Team Plasma who started that war in Unova long ago (the same war where the legendary trio of musketeers saved many pokemon and swore to never forgive humans for what they did to pokemon). The other factor lies at their distant secret lab called P2-Lab, this lab's name is a pun to P2-Lodge (a secret masonic lodge in Italy), due to that, the Italian versions of the game had changed the name to "Laboratorio P+P".

I actually came up with my own theory about the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon world. My theory is that it is an alternate universe that is opposite to the Pokemon world we all know. The best way to describe it is like two sides of a coin. On one side is the Pokemon world we know, where human and Pokemon live together. On the other side is the Mystery Dungeon world, where Pokemon exist in a human like society, and humans are known, but are believed to be a thing of myth and legend. Bonus theory: I also came up with an interesting fan theory about Darkrai in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. My theory is that he actually was human, before he traveled through a portal to a parallel dimension, where he turned into a Darkrai and became corrupted and insane by his own ambition to establish his own utopian world. Does any of this sound familiar? Yep, you guessed it. My theory is that Darkrai is, in fact, Cyrus, the former boss of Team Galactic.

Pokémon theory: Does Solosis come from Deoxys? Deoxys is made of DNA, while Solosis is a living cell. They both have the same telepathic communication skills, and coming from Deoxys would explain why Solosis is a psychic type. I've also been asking myself if Solosis came from the Tree of Beginning, seeing how the tree sent white blood cells to eat Ash and the other trainers in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

Main thing wrong with this is that this theory could only apply to the first Mystery Dungeon game, as it's proven that you come from the future in the second. If the main games are in a linear timeline, it's safe to assume that every entry in the MD series is connected somehow as well. Unless there were 3 heroes of B&W who all failed and were transported to different times and places in the exact same universe, then this theory cannot be correct. Buuuut, to cheer you up, I have a theory that also links the main series to MD. You know how in ORAS there's a "Delta Episode" where a meteor is hurtling towards earth, and you send it away to another universe? Do you also remember the driving force of the whole first Mystery Dungeon game? Well, look at that. It's a meteor. How very convenient. The Primal Reversion and the words "Delta Episode" also contribute. The final boss of the 2nd MD game? Primal Dialga. Do a theory on Unknown and Sygliph. Sygliph seems to resemble an known. Perhaps Unknowns back in the day used to be Sygliphs, but maybe they were unable to keep their form for some reason and were separated into various symbols we know today. Time passes, these unknown travel through region through region in hope of evolving. Maybe each unknown can can evolve into Sygliph if it were to hold an Ancient Gem and taught the move Ancient Power at Lv 30.

All Mystery Dungeon games have it to some degree, but it was the last Mystery Dungeon game (the one for the 3DS), which is unrelated to the others, that I became certain....THIS IS WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF N HAD GOTTEN HIS WISH AND HIS WAY. Separation between pokemon so powerful that not even a human could remain there permanently or have those who remained there be allowed to remember them...a desire so powerful it became a law of nature. It's also a cool similarity that Rayquaza destroys a meteor in Mystery Dungeon like it does in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. That could possibly mean that the events of that meteor would need to be prevented in that alternate timeline by the Pokémon, not humans like in ORAS.

Proto. You said in this video "what if Giovanni wasn't evil?". Giovanni wasn't evil. In the games, he tried to rob Silph Co. of their master ball - a ball that can catch any kind of pokemon - and the Silph Scope. The silph scope can make ghost type pokemon visible. Ghost type pokemon defeat Psychic type pokemon. Giovanni funded the project to create Mewtwo. After Mewtwo was created, he destroyed the laboratory, out of rage. Giovanni then went in, and tried to take control of this pokemon. If anyone thinks its evil to take control of powerful pokemon, riddle me this - what do you do with powerful pokemon in the game? Try to take control of them. That's aside the point. Mewtwo found out that he was being used. That is when Mewtwo became even more mad, and fled. Giovanni saw Mewtwo's power. So when he attempted to acquire the Silph Scope, and the master ball, he would catch a Ghost type pokemon, catch, and stop Mewtwo. Giovanni wasn't evil. He was trying to save the world.

Team Rocket was most likely holding Mr.Fuji hostage in order to try and get information about Mewtwo. In Cinnabar Island, the Pokemon Lab and Mansion offer clues about Mewtwo, and the founder of the Pokemon Lab was someone by the name of Dr.Fuji, who is most likely the same Mr.Fuji in Lavender town.

Hipster Dialga is love. Hipster Dialga is life. Hipster Dialga is up there with the biker who YOLOd before it was (debateably) cool. He Primaled before the Primals. Even though it's technically Dark Dialga. inb4 Darkness Reversion? My personal theory for the Mystery Dungeon series is that there are three dimensions. One where only humans exist (doesn't really need to exist for this theory, it just to help explain why our world is filled with animals instead of creatures that could level entire continents on a whim), one where humans and Pokemon exist (referred to hereon as the middle dimension), and one where only Pokemon exist (the Mystery Dungeon world). Pokemon released by trainers with the knowledge of human social concepts in the middle dimension somehow make it to the Pokemon only dimension and spread the knowledge of things like buildings, what it's like to be captive, innovative ways to improve the Pokemon's quality of life, etc. The Plasma theory also makes sense, but in a universe with multiple dimensions (Dialga's dimension, Palkia's dimension, the Distortion World), it's not too farfetched (insert picture of Farfetch'd) to assume my personal theory has some degree of plausibility. That may seem like a long theory, but it's certainly not the longest comment I've put on a video :P

There is actually somewhat evidence of this in PMD Red/Blue Rescue Team, in the form of the Decrepit Lab friend area. inside the lab is technology that the Pokemon you meet in game are FAR from even imagining, such as a huge computer, giant glass test tubes & whatever that giant red button thing was (that also appeared in Professor Brich's lab in the original Ruby & Sapphire).

I know that this theory was a while ago, but I just wanna say that this theory leaves me with more questions than answers: 1. Pokémon get along with humans, that was the whole point of Black and White, why would they just start killing everyone if they were freed? 2. Humanity's technology would give them a fighting chance against the pokémon anyway, at the very least they could hide out and I doubt they'd go extinct. 3. Why are there no ruins of the massive cities we see in Pokémon? 4. Why would the pokémon stop at houses if they wanted to mimic human society? There are plenty of smart pokémon who I imagine would be able to reverse engineer something more advanced that humanity produced. 5. Explorers and Gates contradict this theory, as in Explorers you come from the future, and in Gates you are able to freely travel between the human and pokémon worlds after the postgame. 6. You would assume that the locations the Mystery Dungeon games take place would be the respective regions of their generations, based on the pokémon that live there, yet the landmasses look nothing alike 7. Where did mystery dungeons come from? And why do the continents have such a wide variety of climates on such a relatively small landmass? 8. Rayquaza claims to never have trespassed on the surface world, which contradicts the scene we clearly see play out in Ruby and Sapphire. 9. If the Bittercold and Dark Matter are things that can just happen in that world, why would they never have appeared when humans occupied the planet? 10. If the hero from Rescue Team is the deceased hero from Black and White, why would they be allowed to return to their time if they, you know, died? 11. Ghetsis's plan was never to free the pokémon for the sake of freeing them, it was to keep his pokémon and rule over humanity with an iron fist, where would he have disappeared to? And other rebellious trainers who would refuse to give up their pokémon, like evil team leaders or champions? All-in-all, this theory just doesn't make a lot of sense. Even disregarding the other games in the Mystery Dungeon series it's really reaching pretty hard. Still a fun thought though

Isn't it more likely that when a legendary is caught, a new one is “born” or created so to speak? And by what or how? Well probably arceus but what if arceus is captured? Then who creates a be one? The unknown. Think about, there is technically an infinite amount of them so you can never catch them ALL and we know there tied to pokemon creation because they're there when arceus creates eggs of dialga, palkia, and giratina and they also possibly helped create the universe and they come from they're own dimension so they could created even the original arceus by putting an egg which, they possibly have the ability to create, into an empty dimension and letting arceus hatch and create the world. Just a suggestion, but you should see if there is any if at all connections between the legendary birds and zekrom, reshirom, and kyruem. Their types match up across and the trios themselves share a typing as well, flying and dragon, both types that can be linked to flying via wings. Not all dragons can fly, I understand, but many fully evolved dragons can or at least have wings. I just think that it's kind of cool and if you have done something related to this, then I haven't seen it and I would just be stupid. But food for thought. Birds and dragons, it's a thing!

What if Cubone's skull helmet is a hand-me down instead of a huge red flag for being a serial killer? It would explain why Cubone's helmet is older looking than Marrowak's, how Cubone and it's mother could be alive at the same time while Cubone has a helmet and the otherwise impractical method of Marrowak breeding (One child for every breeding pair would result in eventual extinction, but it's probable for Marrowak to have to had to replace their helmet's more than once.)

There are a few things I see wrong with this theory. First (If I am remembering this correctly) being that Ghetsis didn't really want pokemon to be free, but just to rule the world, and using that ideal of freeing pokemon just got people on board with his plan, thinking he was doing it FOR the good of pokemon. Therefore if the player failed, Ghetsis would rule, and pokemon would still be inslaved. Secondly, in PMD2, you are, or were, a fully 100% legit human with a legit human body before the events of the game took place, and it was because of a freak accident that you were turned into a pokemon, not punishment for not saving the world before. You know ive thought about this kind of thing before. I had my own theory about the mystery dungeon universe . Though its more focused on the fact that theres a possible connection between the real world and it. If you look deep into the storyline of red and blue rescue team you can see that gardivore had a trainer which made me think that it was possible that thier world was once the same world as ours/the main game world and was somehow seperated . This may have left a few humans which survived this allowing gardivore to still be with her trainer. Another thing i had noticed was that in the 2nd set of games theres a human that came from thier future. How did a human get into thier world. I later realized they could posibly be shadow universes because some events in the main games seemed very similar to events in the mystery dungeon games. On top of all this i noticed something that connects all the games . In the end the main charactor goes up in a ball of light

I don't know if anyone's said this but... I don't know about the other games but in PMD2 the human you play as is from the future. So... I guess a few humans still exist in the PMD timeline? But it's only ever one human in each PMD game (the player) so they must be EXTREMELY rare and almost completely wiped out.

Here's the canon timeline according to Satoshi Tajiri himself: - Red/Blue/Green/Yellow/Fire Red/Leaf Green occur at the same time as Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald - Let's Go Pikachu/Let's Go Eevee occur at the same time as Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire - Gold/Silver/Crystal/Heart Gold/Soul Silver occur at the same time as Diamond/Pearl/Platinum - Black 2/White 2 occur two years after Black/White, but in a separate universe - X/Y only occur in the universe with Mega Evolution (the Megaverse, if you will) - Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon occur at the same time as Sun/ Moon, but, again, in a different universe. - Every copy of every game is canonically its own independent universe, meaning that the Entralink is technically interdimensional travel. We thought the Zelda timeline was convoluted, but this... well, the Pokémon timeline may be convoluted, but it was at least planned ahead of time!

the different mystery dungeon games happen in the same universe, PMD2 happen just several years later after Wigglytuff became a guild leader. The protagonist from PMD2 comes from the future and it is cannon that he had the dimensional scream and was human in a dead future full of murderous ghost type which means that there are still humans alive in PMD1 and PMD2 main timeline. Also, pokemon in PMD seems to know what humans are which imply they are not long gone but also that have some importance which either means there was a war and no one has forgotten or there was no war and PMD is actually just a closer look at the world of wild pokemon and happens at the same time than the main game. Either way it takes place after the creation of mewtwo since he exist in PMD universe.. Personally, my fave theory on the matter is that there was a war and pokemon earned their freedom but humans were not wiped out and even though in PMD1 the supporting cast were ready to kill the protagonist when they learnt he was human, it was not because he was human or at least not just because he was human but because he was forecast to be the harbinger of doom. So i'd say either it takes place in a distant future and the after-war hatred toward humans faded with time which is supported by how their society evolved or it takes place very soon after the war, the humans are not forgotten yet but pokemon are by nature not hateful/resentful or just that some of these either were owned by a trainer and still have some fond memory with them or parents that were owned which relayed those fond memory or just that indeed N and team plasma were the one at the start of the rebellion and that the pokemon have learned thanks to them that all humans were not that bad despite the war, It can also be argued that in this case most of the humans that survived the war would be team plasma members and supporters and that thus it is very likely that the protagonist from PMD2 at least is a descendant of a member of team plasma.

The pokemon protagonist in the secret dungeon is not the gen 5 hero and sent to the future after his/her death, this is mainly because in red rescue team it was stated that a gardevoir protected her TRAINER by sacrificing itself and said trainer left it and ran away. As punishment the trainer was cursed to live as a pokemon forever.

+Nora Porter See, in Proto's multiverse theory, the name escapes me, he states that for every action, every possible outcome, or pretty much anything else that happens, like me choosing to, or not to, reply to you, creates two separate universes where one outcome happens in each, creating an infinite multiverse. What if Hitler did actually take over the world, humanity was destroyed, we were lucky in advancing civilization or became gods? Each outcome happens, or maybe happened, in another universe. This is just a theory, but I believe that Pokemon and humans were once in separate universes, but Hoopa came and (maybe accidentally) opened the rift between the two, joining people and Pokemon into the canon universe we know today, and the Mystery Dungeon canon happened in a universe where Hoopa never joined them with humans? If the main character you play as is human, then their soul must have somehow transcended the limits of a universe with only humans, into the (actual) world of Pokemon, where the Mystery Dungeon games take place? This is just a theory, so I'd love to hear everyone's feedback.

ok so i have a different way to view this theory. what if team plasma leader was the one who turned into a pokemon in mystery dungeon and viewed life different after coming back as a human. thus his reasoning for wanting to free them. this would more than likely mean that mystery dungeon happens far into the past before humans came around (which isn't hard to believe seeing how the pokedex says how groudon and kyoger ((excuse my spelling)) created the land and sea, which means we couldn't have been on the planet at some time.)

X/Y and AS/OR are on a separate timeline. There is no mega evolution in previous games, which is brought in after the events described in X/Y, the outcome of the "great war" creates two timelines. One with mega evolution, and one without.

Possibly, rather than it being an alternate universe, it's a cycle of Pokémon evolving and dying out- as in, humans go extinct, and Pokémon rule the world for millions of years until a new dominant species reigns.

Also seems unlikely that all the player character humans are the same human, as they all have various back stories that cause them being the same person to be nearly impossible SPOILERS; The second installment you are a human from the future, latest installment of the series you are from the ancient past.
