This was an awesome video! Another neat thing about some shiny pokemon- I mean animals - is that some of them may not survive well in the wild because of their different coloring, but that coloring may help them be more likely to survive in urban areas. There is a bird, I think the Cooper's Hawk, that has a "shiny" version that makes up only like 25% of the population and that population tends to live in urban areas because their lack of browns blends better with buildings than trees. I also got a pic of a shiny Canadian Goose like 2 days ago. I wish I could share pics here lol

I can mention one natural shiny that doesn't seem to have the full albinism trait, just mostly. The kodiak bear in the forests of Northern BC is rare, but only about 1 in 7, and interbreeds without issue with the rest of the population. Their area is highly protected because of them.

All my shinies are backed up in my Pokemon Stadium 2, along with all my Pokeballs, Potions, Gold Leaf's etc etc etc etc etc; because there is a LOT of stuff that is backed up over decades of game play and Mystery Gift. And then there is the 251 Pokemon I have been collecting including each and every individual evolution in Pokedex order. Having all my old favorite Pokemon backed up is also pretty cool too. I think my favorite shiny is my Noctowl, which has the color pattern of Ash's shiny Noctowl, which is pretty dope. I need friends.

Shiny's are I guess genetic variation which means it presents different sequences of genes between a individual Pokemon. The for the geno type and phenotype vary from that individual organism. This is natural this is what drives evolution. If an organism has traits to best fit it's environment.

My very first shiny was a Zubat back during Pokémon emerald. I traded it all the way up to the current games where it is now a crowbat. But for some reason, the Pokémon that I keep running into the most that shiny are golbat I’ve got three shiny golbat over the last few years and one of them. Apparently I forgot about that. I got back in 2020 and then even this year I caught one while . My girlfriend was driving.
