22:30 The power of Squirtle's Sliding F-Tilt is well known to the the Trainer Discord. His Execution of multiple Sliding F-Tilt's was really clean. At percentages where it sets up for a tech situation, It's Squirtle's most reliable kill setup into a Smash attack.

Fun fact Zard has had very substantial buffs throughout ultimate's lifespan. He received Dash Attack Knockback buffs, Less Landing lag on Nair as well as more hit detection, more knockback and damage on Fsmash, more knockback on ftilt sweet spot, Forward throw has more knockback, In addition to the Flareblitz and Up B changes you mentioned in the video. Another Fun Fact Squirtle is the only character in the base roster to receive no changes to their moves so Squirtle is the exact same as he was day 1. Also at 21:40 that is a true combo up tilt is hard to land so that's why you don't see it a lot.
@N12015
@N12015 3 жыл бұрын
19:55 Not super crazy but plenty of them. N-Air has less landing lag, F-Throw now kills earlier than B-Throw, a bigger shield size, a much more rewarding Dash attack, Flare blitz now being more useful as a recovery tool and both Flare blitz and Fly connecting more reliabily, alongside another minor buffs.

He meant spot dodge cancel. Spot dodge cancelling is when you do a move out of spot dodge. Can’t be jump or special. Attack cancel is when you jump within the first 3 (I think) frames of a tilt or jab. Attack cancel can turn you around for a short hop aerial pretty quickly

PT as a whole has a lot of broken things about them. True 0-deaths with ivy, squirtle being able to combo off of (almost) any neutral interaction, being able to switch out of combo percents, having one of the best recoveries in the game, good OOS options, kill confirms at almost any percent below 150 and lets not forget water gun being super jank. The character is busted and the only thing that kind of balances it out is their disadvantage but that doesn't hold them back from being a top tier.
