Question: When i get certain promos (especially cards in etbs) that come in the plastic wrapper, and im looking to resell. Is it better to sell it with the plastic wrapper still in place? Or take it out if the wrapper? Sometimes the wrapper feels kind of janky around the card, but i know objects in their original packaging can be worth more. Thanks

Repeat question "****POKE BEARD***** I am a pretty big Scarlet & Violet 151 Collector/investor. My question is, I have quite a bit of 151 sealed products (bundles, poster boxes, etc...), I'm looking at price per pack value, and future ease of shipping. Poster collection boxes and booster bundles broken down into packs are a minor loss if anything. I want to put the sealed booster packs in a nice acrylic case. Do you think it's a smart move if I break those products down? Space is almost becoming a little limited. (I wont break down alakazam boxes, sealed booster bundle displays, due to their PPP being a big loss if I break those down)."

Repeat question: Are master sets worth selling? I enjoy pulling packs and then buying singles to complete the set but I’m unsure if the market for master sets is big/profitable. Right now I’m going after paradox rift, crown zenith, and 151. I was planning on flipping rift and zenith, holding onto 151 for personal collection, and then flipping other S&V sets as well in the meantime. Thanks again!

Repeat Question: The hype for upcoming sets is really making online pre orders difficult. For a set such as Prismatic Evolutions, do you have any advice for people looking to get products in big box retailers on release day? Do you recommend waiting at the store until open on the day of at a place like Target? Do certain places stock their pokemon before open on release? or maybe some throughout the day? I know Prismatic will stagger their releases with ETBs, Booster Bundles, UPCs, etc. and I would like to grab a couple of each when they release in-store. Thanks as always!

Some of the promos going for crazy money in PSA 10 right now, mainly charmander from OF and Pikachu from PE. Do you think is a good idea to open one of each and send out promos for grading? Love your channel!!! But disagree with your take on LGS' charging scalper prices! In my opinion charging scalper prices is ridiculous when they are getting it for below msrp and then charging the high prices. I get they have bills to pay but I refuse to by from local stores and only buy in the wild at big box stores. Sad when they are the only ones not charging scalper prices.

@degendude If boxes are selling at that price, it's not scalper prices. That's called the market. Or is everyone who sells a box at the current market price a scalper? I also never said it was okay, lol. I just said I try not to get too mad at them when they get boxes for the exact same price as everyone with a distributor but pay more bills than everyone. They don't magically get it cheaper because they have a store front. Anyone with an online store with some sales can get the same disturbitor. I also said to try to find an lgs that does it for msrp like the store I go to.

Love the vid! I don’t think it’s true though that Japanese sets don’t generally do as well as English. Although they do reprint quite a bit in japan, it’s still not nearly as much as English cards. You’ve got to consider japans population is SIGNIFICANTLY less than the US. As an example, a booster box of shiny Star V retailed at around $40 and the market price (even after a decrease) is at around $100, whereas the English equivalent shining fates is still in stock at the Pokemon center. Similar story for vstar universe and its English equivalent crown zenith. Other examples include cp3 and English equivalent generations and cp6 and English equivalent XY evolutions. Now selling the Japanese sets will probably take a lot longer, but there is definitely still a good market for Japanese sets I guess is my point.

Its 100% true. There are way more English sets that do better than Japanese. It's probably 85% for English to Japanese. Of course Japanese has some sets that are doing better but the majority of English sets are destroying Japanese boxes.

Question: instead of chasing the newest shiniest (ie Surging Sparks / Prismatic) would you still stock up on 200 - 350 ish SWSH booster boxes? Ie opt for FS, CR, LO, BS, AR even though they are above msrp. Sure Evolving is the odd one going crazy but what are the odds the other are going to catch up soon? Only con: sold out on PKC and you gonna resort to one a time via ebay / tcg. But I think since Prismatic will be out till September I rather stock up on SWSH in the mean time.

Yes, I would get what you can at the stores. Just don't buy more than you can afford. I would recommend against using this as a vehicle for a quick flip.

To be fair to LGS's, if online scalpers are selling at 150 an etb, and the LGS charges 60, scalpers will be the ones buying the majority. Then they have more product and can charge 200 an etb and the LGS goes out of business. Easy to hate on the stores because they're public facing but they are not the villains

Beard always promotes talking to people when you are unsure. Wish I had this advice when I was younger. Live by it now, just ask people who you trust, or who you want what they have in life respect to whatever the question is. Beard, what do you think the max short term well see for terrestral? I got a case for about 55 a box on preorder. Think i over payed thinking it was a good short term investment (bad idea machine over here, first and lasr time buying for a short term idea). I think i should get out on ebay for break even soon instead of looking for a profit and it goes down. Maybe i get a premium for a sealed case. I could also just hold long term and not worry, not strapped for cash, but if i sell now and it gets cheaper later, I'd rebuy then and net net be up for the long term hold.
