One thing I like about Nincada's evolutions is that even if it's described as a branched evolution, you get both Ninjask and Shedinja from just a single Nincada. Ninjask is the actual evolution, while Shedinja is the byproduct of the evolution.

Glad to see an Adventures fan, but no that’s not what happened. At bottom of the water, there were four special evolution stones (water, fire, leaf and thunder). These stones were special because they remained after use. Poli used the Water Stone and evolved.

I wouldn’t count forms like Gigantamax Eevee, Gigantamax Pikachu, Gigantamax Meowth, Gigantamax Charizard, Mega Slowbro, Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Alolan Raichu, Alolan Persian, Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Slowking, Midday Lycanroc, Midnight Lycanroc and Dusk Lycanroc. Technically Meowth can only evolve into one thing. Regular Meowth and Alolan Meowth can only evolve into their respective Persian, not Perrserker. Meanwhile, Galarian Meowth can only evolve into Perrserker, not Persian. Yamask has this as well with Cofagrigus and Runerigus.
