Im a big fan of your work. I found you on Reddit a few months back. Im a wood carver myself, your level of skill is inspiring. Im also a huge Pokemon fan and collector, so seeing you making these characters with such accuracy is awesome. Keep up the good work, I hope to see more of you videos!

I am also into carving because i am studying dentistry and they make us carve tooth with high accuracy. We generally use soap, wax and cement. I tried making a few pokemon once (including bulbasaur) but i cant seem to fit the shape as good as you, it look fatter or thinner in some areas which makes it look really bad, how can i fix this? Since i use blocks of cement its easier for me to throw and get rid of it if its looking bad but i really want to make a good one like yours. Do you have any tips? And it would be awesome if you told me the way to fix my proportions of body parts.

Try making yourself some 2D templates for the front, top and sides and then transfer these onto your starting block to help get the 3D proportions. I measure a lot during the carving process to keep proportions correct.
