X and Y are probably my least favorite Pokémon games because of how stupidly easy they are. Hell, even ORAS and SuMo were significantly more challenging in comparison. If you want an actual challenge from X and Y, you’re gonna have to avoid most of the trainers you see and keep your team under-leveled throughout the entire game. If you’re a hardcore gamer, I would also recommend turning off the EXP Share.

Durva Sarang Well, in every new region, the Gym Leader's ace (strongest Pokemon) is a Pokemon from that region(except for half of the Johto Gym Leaders). In this case Hawlucha is Korrina's ace because they didn't want to break that rule.

These gym leaders are a bore. Most of them only have 1 of the Gen 6 pokemon in their roster, their teams lacked any threats and the theme is just your typical electronic music piece. These battles felt like monday. Or tuesday. Lysandre and AZ are the most interesting characters in otherwise filler game because they are a part of the Kalos lore with AZ being formerly nihilistic king and Lysandre being the extremist who really hates humans for a reason. (Honestly, I can't really blame Lysandre for wanting to wipe out the humanity in X/Y. After all, war is hell and humans are known exploit pokemon in the pokemon universe but destroying a world for that cause is quite a overkill, don't you think?)

Probably. That, and the hardware limitations were a big factor. S/M have quite long load times because of the 3DS being pushed to the limit. They have a chance to impress with that Switch Pokemon game, unless they rush it out with questionable quality. Maybe the 3 godlike games will be enough for me to buy Switch despite the suits at Nintendo not exactly being community-friendly.

The Kalos Gyms disappoint me in many ways, because I feel like there are such obvious areas for improvement: -I think _all_ Gyms, even early ones, should have a minimum of three Pokemon. -The badge names are some of the laziest in the entire series. Multiple badges are literally the name of the type itself. -The main gym leader theme is incredibly forgettable. -From Korrina and onward, their ace Pokémon should have been a Mega, since that's the new battle mechanic introduced that gen. -Reward TM's should _never_ be a repeat of previous gyms from other generations. They are opportunities to show off moves that are exclusive or newly-discovered that gen.
