Since it's popping up in recommend I'm assuming some people going to come here for no reason. So here's how to build a good team in short. Have these uses for each pokemon:- 1) A physical wall. It has high physical defense and decent hp. Can stall or resists moves. 2) A special wall. Has high special defense and decent hp. Can stall and maybe attack. 3) A mega evolution. A mega is basically supposed to be a wall breaker. It's an all out offense. If it's out on the feild then it's meant to crush everything in it's path, simple as that. 4) A stall breaker. There'll always be an opponent pokemon using toxic or will-o-wisp or leech seed and recovery and stuff. You need something that when you send out, will effectively take out these pokemon, without being affected by the said stall. It could either be a Pokemon with a super effective type or a Pokemon that doesn't get affected by toxic/leech seed etc. You'll have to play the particular tier to know the best pokemon. 5) The speed pokemon. This pokemon is fast. Really fast. Even faster. Fastest in your entire party. This pokemon should always 100% hold a choice scarf. It will have very powerful moves and it's only objective is to attack first and kill. Upto you to decide whether it can kill an opponent at full hp or do you need to bring it down to half for the kill. 6) Your Favorite Pokemon. Trust me on this one. Usually people will tell you to use a stall pokemon. Or something with high stats. No. When you've finished getting 5 pokemon fulfilling the above criteria you'll find your team full of strangers. You'll never have used these Pokemon before. You'll feel completely isolated from a game. Your favorite Pokemon is the one you have to give you comfort. You already know how to use it. You love to use it. So use it as you like. It helps. Build this kind of team and you'll excell at battling in no time. That's all.

My team building pretty goes like: -Wow, I like that pokemon, but a water type would smash him. -Better pick a grass pokemon. -But what if someone uses a fire pokemon? -Better pick a water pokemon I wish I could be as talented as you are xD

+xGhostGaming u can always cover weaknesses with moves that are different type! for example charizard Y can learn solarbeam, grass type move and use it in the same turn because of his ability! there goes the opponents water type! u dont always have to use a rock-paper -scissor types of pokemon for a team to be effective! moves like that can be unpredictable sometimes and u win easier than recall ur pokemon back to bring another with a better type

I always have had good results with this core, never has let me down in OU (up to 1600). Swampert @ Leftovers Ability: Torrent EVs: 248 HP / 152 Atk / 108 Def Adamant Nature - Ice Punch - Earthquake - Stealth Rock - Roar Rotom-Wash @ Choice Scarf Ability: Levitate EVs: 248 HP / 124 SpA / 136 Spe Modest Nature - Hydro Pump - Volt Switch - Hidden Power [Fire] - Trick Ferrothorn @ Leftovers Ability: Iron Barbs EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD Impish Nature - Knock Off - Thunder Wave - Leech Seed - Protect Talonflame @ Leftovers Ability: Gale Wings EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Brave Bird - Flare Blitz - Swords Dance - Roost This also goes well with it: Terrakion @ Choice Scarf Ability: Justified EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spe Adamant Nature - Close Combat - Earthquake - Rock Slide - Poison Jab *The reason the EVs are so funky on rotom-w is so that it both outspeeds Starmie and gets a guarenteed 2hko on ferrothorn with HP fire after stealth rocks. *Terrakions speed EVs only outspeed mega Alakazam, not other scarfed Terraks usually. *Swamperts attack EVs make for a guaranteed 2hko on a fully physically defensive garchomp (even after leftovers) with ice punch. *Unfortunately Bisharp has a small chance to 2hko swampert with knock off (max attack + adamant) (its like 12% chance that he gets the high roll on both hits or something, 40% if rocks are on the field, and 100% if there are spikes also), so be careful about that. If the Bisharp is jolly you dont have to worry at all. swamps kills the bitch with an EQ easily though. I just dont know what mega suits the core best. I just though that this team would look cool... doesn't really have to be good - Charizard - Can be obtained from Prof. Sycamore as a Charmander. - Greninja - Can be obtained from Tierno as a Froakie. - Salamence - Can be caught as a Bagon on Route 8 (Upper) - Gengar - You don't have to, but I would recommend catching a Haunter on Route 14 then use the GTS to evolve it. - Ampharos - Can be caught as a Mareep on Route 12. - Alakazam - Can be caught as an Abra on Route 5, proceed to evolve it (Level) and then use the GTS to evolve it furthermore.

OK, so I know move sets and abilites and super training stats matter, but just straight off the bat: Does this team sound good? It is Gardevoir, Sandslash, Aeodactyl, Trevenant, Whiscash, and Blaziken. Additional Information: Sandslash has, rapid spin. My Trevenant has forest curse so I can wipe their team with my Blaziken. Aerodactyl has Roar, Scary Face, and Stealth Rock. (Sorry for the double post. I took down the other comment because of other peeps knowing my strategy, but whatever. I'm putting it back with some more info.)

dont use super training if you want I could give u pokerus so you can train on hords in ev's to get 10 evs per hord battle then have a brace thing to up strength with growing but reduce speed you need a sweet scent pokemon and a move like surf to kill all pokemon on field

Lucas da Silva Unless that simisage has really good IVs... He is not that great of a Pokémon natural stat wise. I would switch him with a different Pokémon. Either a better grass type or just a good Pokémon. Also, Pidgeot is not the best flying type to choose. I am guessing you caught it really early in the game. So you may not want to evolve another Pokémon, but find a Fletchling in Santalune forest and train it. Fletchling evolves into Fletchinder which evolves into Talonflame. Talonflame is way better than Pidgeot. because it can have flame body, and it has good stats, and it's a fricking fire bird. Also, if you have a friend who would let you. If you trade Fletchling to him then he trades it back, Fletchling will evolve faster because it gets extra bonus experience points. Now I will comment on your team. It is a solid team. Seems to be really offensive. In competitive battling... May not be the best team. But if you bring your Pokémon to max stats and give them really good moves. I could see you winning a couple of games. Here is my friend code if you want to play/trade sometime: 4382-2044-4987. I have a level 61 talonflame I'm not using if you want to trade.

Makes sense. I just random number generate my team with no type overlap. Everyone should try it at least once. You may find that some Pokemon you labeled as "worthless" years ago can bring more to the table than you think.

Do chesnaught charizard and goodra for a second play through so you can have a fire-water-grass core on your team with goodra having water moves. Or get rid of talon flame and you can have goodra and garchomp on the same team

Hi guys! I just made an ou team and it looks pretty solid. I made it pretty high on the ladder in 1 day. (im talking about Pokemon Showdown). I would appreciate constructive criticism! **The Team** Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 248 HP / 100 Def / 160 SpD Calm Nature - Hydro Pump - Will-O-Wisp - Volt Switch - Pain Split A Basic Rotom-Wash set. I don't really feel like explaining it, but if your new i guess i should. You can either lead of with Rotom to Volt switch out or Burn Something with Will-O-Wisp. I invested in Special Defense and some in defense. The main reason i invested in Sp Def because Will-O-Wisp Lowers Physical Damage. Hydro Pump is a an Excellent STAB move. (Volt Switch is Rotom's electric Stab.) It deals an excellent chunk of damage to anything that doesn't resist it. The only back drop is it's accuracy. Venusaur @ Venusaurite Ability: Chlorophyll EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe Bold Nature - Sludge Bomb - Synthesis/ Leech Seed - Hidden Power [Fire] - Giga Drain Venusaur is my wall and special attacker. It's basically just for to suck up some grass type moves and to deal with fairy types. Synthensis can be used for reliable recovery. While Leech Seed gives you some recovery but also deals damage to the target. Giga Drain is Venusaur's main stab move. Sludge Bomb is also a great STAB move as it deals with Fire types that resist Giga Drain. Hidden Power Fire is basically for steels that would otherwise wall Venusaur. As it is Immune to Sludge Bomb and Giga Drain cant do much to it. Jirachi @ Choice Scarf Ability: Serene Grace EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Fire Punch - U-turn - Iron Head - Zen Headbutt I needed a Physical attacker on my team since the 2 pokes above are special attackers. Choice Scarf Jirachi is actually a pretty fun set. As your doing a decent amount of damage and you have a 60% chance to flinch as well. Iron head and Zen Headbutt is Jirachi's main moves that should be used often. Although Iron head should be used more since it has better accuracy. You should use Zen headbutt if something resist iron head. Fire Punch is for mainly Scizor and other steel types. U-Turn is to keep the offensive momentum. Latios (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Defog - Psyshock - Draco Meteor - Roost Latios is an important member on my team since it can remove annoying hazards on the field. Psyshock is for defensive walls like Chansey that would otherwise wall my team if Talonflame or Bisharp are gone. Draco Meteor is a STAB move that does a heck load of Damage by Max Sp Atk boosted by a Life Orb. Roost is needed for Latios to be healthy throughout the game. Bisharp @ Black Glasses Ability: Inner Focus EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Swords Dance - Knock Off - Sucker Punch - Iron Head Bisharp is my other physical sweeper. once you have set up a Sword Dance your free to knock out at least 1 poke. Black Glasses boost Bisharp's Dark type moves. Knock Off will be extremley powerful with the Attack boost and it has 1.5x power when an opponet has an item. (which every poke should have.) It also knocks off common eviolite users such as Chansey making it easier to knock it out. Sucker Punch is for Priority since Bisharp doesn't have the best speed. It only has about 256 speed along with jolly. Iron head is another move that deals a great chunk of damage to anything that doesn't resist it. It also has a 30% chance to flinch and that is always great. Its also used for dealing with Fairy Types. Talonflame @ Sharp Beak Ability: Gale Wings EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Flare Blitz - Swords Dance - Brave Bird - Roost Talonflame is a beast physical attacker. Although its another Sword Dance user it's pretty scary when it sets up. It's ability Gale Wings gives it Priority for flying types moves. Talonflame also has excellent speed. I usually like to lead of with Talonflame if the opposing team has a Ferrothorn. Sometimes the opponet gets suprised that i lead of with Talonflame because they predicted my Rotom-Wash to come in. This gives me a free turn to set up Sword Dance and knock out a couple of pokes. Sharp Beak boost my flying type attacks to be even stronger. Flare Blits is a STAB move that can deal with Steel types that may resist Brave Bird. (sometimes even thought they resist it they can get OHKO'D pretty easily.) Roost is for recovery and again it has priority. HAZZARDS: This team doesnt even care about toxic spikes. since 3 of my pokemon are immune to ground. 2 of my pokes are immune to Toxic Spikes and 1 poke just soaks it all up. Spikes can be a pain but 3 pokemon are immmune to it so i guess its ok. You should get rid of SR as soon as possible since it makes Talonflame loses Half of it's health. Although Jirachi and Bisharp don't really care about it. What do you guys think? leave your ideas in the comment section below!

(I know that this comment is 3 months old but I'll reply anyways) For glaceon, I would suggest putting Frost breath on it instead of blizzard (or hail/Synchronize) since it gets past things like light screen. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I don't understand why your Kangaskhan has Aerial Ace. Interesting to see how other people build their teams :D However, I usually don't build a team around one pokeman, I end up just using 3 defensive and 3 offensive pokemon, special and physical attackers/walls and types mostly balanced, most of the time. I hope I'm not the only one who does that ^^

Ampharos (Mold Breaker) [Modest] {Ampharosite} Thunderbolt, Dragon Pulse, Signal Beam, Power Gem. EV Spread: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP. Sticky web makes it faster than most opponents, has great coverage and 4x effective against those gosh dang megazard ys. Great revenge killer. 4. Has very reliable recovery, immune to leech seed, spore and such shenanigans from whimsicott and the liking. Would be a fully defensive set with Leech Seed, Will-o-wisp, Horn Leech and Rest. I've been using Malamar for the past couple of months (since I've learned about topsy-turvey) and I suggest giving it a focus sash. This way you can switch to it when a buffed up sweeper just killed someone and you are then guaranteed to land the topsy-turvey. For quagsire I'd recommend earthquake instead of stockpile in case the sweeper happens to be immune to toxic (metal type, poison type, magic bounce ability etc) Not sure if I can help you with the rest really, but over all I love your team and I hope it works out.

I made a team for my friend and she always has Xatu on her, it has it's hidden ability so whenever she suspects a stealth rock, of willo wisp, she switches and the attack bounces back to the user, that's why Xatu is better than a set up or a rapid spinner, Forrtress is the same carrying the move rapid spin and has all the set up moves

Snorlax, switch defence curl for curse. Charizard X is a physical attacker, you have special moves on it...basically, change it up entirely.(slash and scary face reallt aren't that good. Get rid of hail on Glaceon because hail is more hindering to your team than helping it. The moment you have to switching out from Glaceon, whatever switchs in will be taking chip damage every turn it stays in and only Glaceon seems to benefit from hail.

david chu If you don't mind a lack of rocks on the opponent's side, use Defog since it clears both sides. Mandibuzz is good for this role, and it can resist your Dark-type weakness. I would say to sack Wobbuffet and put in Mandibuzz instead due to your Dark-type weakness, but a guaranteed trade of Pokemon is always nice.You also may want something else for Ice-type, because Hydreigon is probably your biggest threat because of its typing, and Choice Scarf Hydreigon would likely outspeed Lopuuny-Mega. Have Ice Beam in place of Psyshock on Starmie to remedy this issue, as it is probably most likely to help you. Stall Steelix with Curse, Rest, Gyro Ball, and Sleep Talk along with Hydreigon and Mega Charizard X is pretty good. Mega Charizard should be a stabber and Hydreigon could be an equal fighter. Just use Bisharp and support and a fill to complete the team.

Regular Charizard is a Fire-Flying type, if it knows a flying type move it should be able to take out Blaziken... Even if it has Mega Evolved to a Dragon type.

Replace carbink with someone like golem or a fossil Pokemon. Gigalith is good as well. Noctowl should be replace as well. Try someone like talonflame or noivern Trevenent should learn energy ball for solarbeam and horn leech for forests curse. Sandslash should learn earthquake for magnitude Deoxys should learn psychic for psycho boost and either a stat raising move or thunderbolt for solarbeam Blaziken is the only one with good moves Also you should put an iron wall like skarmory on your team for better defence

Zapdos was a good choice for he has very a good SP.ATK plus he could take out dangerous flying types somewhat. If you decide to take him out teach your water type (sorry I forgot how to spell its name) ice beam.
