More great insight to start the New Year! Thank you, Michael! The challenge for most is that every set seems to be climbing so how to prioritize your Pokemon investments. For SW&SH - it will eventually hit S&M status of buy for the collection but it’s still getting ripped for now. S&V seems to be the best (and most affordable) for many. I’m all in on Paldea Evolved - just bought another case at $850 LAST WEEK and it’s already up. That’s a screaming buy for me since it likely won’t see another reprint and has a great chase. With the sets that could get a reprint, I’d focus on the ones with the best chase cards (Twilight and SS). Any reprint will be a buy opportunity, albeit a short window, as those prices will bounce back up like PE did. What I’d like to see a video on is the pros/cons of buying and WHERE to buy bulk - eBay, FB Marketplace, TCG, etc. Perhaps a future video? Keep up the great work! 🤙🏻

I'm not sure the Pokemon Company has time to reprint Paldea Evolved even if they wanted to. It is also possible that they're not really able to spend much time looking into Paradox or Temporal reprints if they haven't pre-emptively "reprinted" them at this point already. They need to work on making 151, SSP, and PRE available for the collectors. There are too many sets that are going to need to be restocked and reprinted at the same time, while they're working on new future releases, meaning they have to prioritize the highest demand sets.

I am buying more Vivid Voltage and can get a BB of Silver Tempest for a reasonable price. Was also able to get several 3 pack blister of Brilliant Stars from the Pokemon Centre at MRSP (they had a brief restock over Christmas) .Very happy about that purchase

It’s interesting because so many boosters boxes are already sold out on Pokémon Center. This isn’t usually the case so early, so leads me to believe any small reprints will be quickly eaten up and it’s fair to be bullish on all SV sets in 2025

You’re talking about reprints but like we’ve seen rather small or normal reprints eaten up so quick that it didn’f effect the prices at all, don’t you think that the reprints will again be eaten up so quick that it doesn’t effect prices at all? Seems to me that Pokémon is already printing at full capacity and they have a hard time to keep up with all the consumers buying products quicker then they can print

Which market do you live in? Bc personally I like to put in my paid price, but yeah here in Europe the prices are way overestimated. Nice to be up like 50+% of things but you can still pick up PAL BBs in Europe for 120-130€ a box (125-135$) whereas on the shiny app it lists it at 180€ (190$) 😅

@@nathanc.4862 look at the data and form your own conclusions. I will last that historically an ETB usually goes for 1/4 of a booster box. So I would usually see how the ratio is between those products and go from there.

I'll strongly assume Evolving Skies will be 2k+usd by the end of 2025. The Moonbreon is already selling over 4k aud. Paldea Evolved will reach 350usd by the end of 2025. Surging Sparks will be 1kusd per booster box by 2027. All just wild guesses though haha. Overall, I feel that the S&V era won't be reprinting as much as we think due to way too much demand and supply won't be able to keep up. Anyways, exciting times ahead. Great video man.🔥🔥

I think oz is underestimating Obsidian Flames. It’s true it’s not the best set ever but to kids all the Charizards in it are enough. Darkness Ablaze had one but OBF has several. So for the kids it’s not about getting their money back it’s about pulling lots of Charizards.

Not necessarily. . The sealed boxes become a collectable in itself. Opening old boxes will almost never get you your money back.

People poppin packs. If people just stock up and do not open packs. The hit cards are still risen. So that makes the packs worth opening. But lets be real packs are in high demand for opening on streams daily, kids, adults, couples, etc.. Streamers make good money doing openings. Pokerev and those other 100 streamers and rip and shippers are not making any product produce out of thin air. Quite the contrary, they are thinning the sealed population. And driving popularity of the product upwards.

Love your videos Oz, but the idea that sellers control the price, or the floor of the price, is simply incorrect. Cash is always king, and a BB is only worth what others are willing to pay for it. Period.

All good legend! Perhaps a better term is that retailers no longer control the selling price and the only people left with them to sell is people on the secondary market. I still think there's a fair bit of control there by the seller but I also agree, there of course needs to be buyers willing to fork out!
