Dude, why do you clown yourself with all of the stupid jump cut memes and unnecessary two second montages. Your inside poker knowledge is unrivaled. You are obviously very mentally sharp. And you have a passion for the subject, so why do you water down your content with all the fluff bullshit. Do you have like a 19 year old gen Zer editing all your videos? It almost makes them unwatchable. Otherwise, very grateful for the content and analysis.

Free book? I don't really have a suggestion for content, someone beat me to the Ivey baccarat idea. This is more of an observation. I'm sure most people get sick and tired of the "like and subscribe" reminders, but for the third or fourth time in a couple weeks I found myself looking at the subscribe button of a channel I frequent and realized I hadn't yet subscribed. And now I have. So it is very likely worth nagging people a small amount to catch a few more subscribers. If that doesn't qualify for a book, I'm fine with it. I'm not even sure I can read anymore now that KZbin runs my life.

@aaron6806 Not only should he have been paid, but he was paid. Then, a judge ruled that he wasn't cheating. However, he was still on the hook to pay back the casino. Sounds like I don't know what I'm talking about except that Ivey got bamboozled over a brilliant on the fly advantage play system.

Free book! Can you cover the topic of good hand protection. Too often we see people trying to peek at yours or other cards. I know this seems simple but some folks don’t realize they are letting their neighbor see their hand. Additionally how people react to their first look and how they respond, facial expression, the placement of cards after the look, etc. This can give a pretty good indication of their hand strength in a lot of cases. Especially with beginner and intermediate players. Professional players tend to make their actions as stoic as possible during first hand looks.

So in the card force trick what if the mark just denies that you picked his card ? Don’t you then become the sucker and have to buy the drinks ? Or if others are there to witness what he picked he could claim someone tipped you off to what his card was . Help me out here .
@KardSharp
@KardSharp 3 ай бұрын
Doing these tricks require a bit of judgement. Which is why I suggest doing it on a friend. Someone who will see it for what it is. A fun kind of "got you" trick. But the truth is, it probably works even better on strangers. You would be more likely to come across someone who would be too skeptical to actually make the bet than you would to find someone lying. But if that was your concern... you could have a pen and paper handy and ask the person to write down the card and/or to show it to the group. And make sure that at least one person in the group will be honest. I've done this trick since I was 10 years old and have never once had some one lie to me about what their card was. Hope this answer helps. Worst case scenario, you say oh well... and buy a round of drinks for a liar. lol.

Here’s my question. Why would this dealer continue to work for this guy, if they know there is such shitty treatment? Why don’t they go to another card club? Not like there isn’t any other places to deal? Ultimately all of this behavior could get ALL card rooms shut down in Texas. Especially with the pressure coming from Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Louisiana casinos…
@KardSharp
@KardSharp 2 ай бұрын
Great question. And in the full story in my blog the answer is given. Basically they work there because it’s the only card club in Houston where dealers can make 500 a day. Even though they have to put up with all the B.S. the clubs shady dealings draws lots of shady action which therefore draws legitimate players seeking to score. It’s a dangerous cycle.
@ryansackett6521
@ryansackett6521 2 ай бұрын
@@KardSharp Speaking from personal experience… I used to deal at a club in Texas, and made twice what I do now, where I’m at. However, I just wasn’t happy. I don’t see any reason why they can’t just shut his ass out, and ALL go elsewhere. Put pressure on the guy that is attempting to put pressure on them. No dealers, no games. Shady dealers, will shut the club down. Players will stop playing. Power is in numbers. There’s GOTTA be something that isn’t being said. It can’t be as simple as it’s being presented, or the issue would have sorted itself out by now.

I don’t think you understand… the guy partnered with the dealer is simply placing less at risk in big pots. The dealer essentially helps him “short” the pot. This would be one in a variety of ways people trim. Dealers also palm chips simply for themselves.
