Another Zoom Poker Coaching video for you guys!
This is the second part, where I analyzed our student playing Zoom NL50. If you haven't watched the first part yet, click in the link below:
• Leakfinder! High Stake...
In today's video, we have one of the craziest unexpected hands so far, try to guess when it comes (no more spoilers).
Our student is playing a pretty good and solid poker, but everyone has leaks to fix. Might be over aggression, being too passive, using wrong bet sizes, not calling enough, not folding enough, not defending his blinds enough, defending too much, or any other common mistakes that low stakes players often do. What separates a High Stakes Player from a Low Stakes Player, is that the High Stakes Player does everything a little better, and this piles up. So it's very important to improve in every aspect of your game, this will take you up to the next level.
If you're interested to learn more, we offer products to beginners up to advanced players, doesn't matter where you currently are in your poker journey.
For beginners we recommend signing up for BTS Lab, more information below:

Now if your problem is Preflop Charts, we have you covered with the Preflop Bible.
If you're looking for an advanced course to take you to the next level, we have MMAsherdog's High Stakes Course.

Good stuff, these types of longer review vids i find pretty valuable. As a mostly live player transitioning back to online I find this kind of review and breakdown helpful, so thanks a lot. Anywhere from 25nl to 200nl of this kind of content would be great.

Awesome stuff! I love when MMA incorporates some humor to his teachings hahah keeps things fresh! A lot of teachers are so damn robotic and bland. This is one of my fears when it comes to becoming a solid poker player... becoming boring by accident! hah

You crush the ranges pf, you have all aa, kk, AK etc and he does not. Therefore, betting large/overbet is definitely an option. Would obviously do this with both value/bluff to balance.

Unknown tables can be a good choice especially if you play solid base strategy which on average players will play very badly but always be aware of players around you :)

1:06 into the vid, I see that you fold Q9s; you mention it's too loose to 3bet. That's typically a hand I like to 3bet bluff in that spot. You articulate why it's not a 3bet for pure value but we do need 3bet bluffing at such limits, right? For me it's CO vs LJ, 110 BBs deep, vs a rec, in position. Q9s has an okay-ish blocker, a good playability, it's somewhat dominated hand but I favor the blocker effect more. For me it's an all around good hand to 3bet bluff. Just to go beyond the 'I have that hand in my 3bet bluffing range', he is how i break down my range. My 3bet bluffing rnage would probably be A9s-J9s, A5s/A4s here. vs a rec I'd 3bet 100% of those combos, vs a reg, I'd 3bet only 50% to have a stronger range. Am I way off target with including Q9s in there?

You always talk about rake and how it's higher on lower stakes, but the only thing that's higher is the cap. The rake percentage is lower. So if you know you are playing a small pot, you'll actually relatively pay less than on higher stakes, or am I wrong?

38:17 98hh I expected some talk on the turn sizing when hero bets less than third which I think is bad sizing since we are representing value, do u think so ? and if yes is 50% seems the best sizing ?? thanks for the great material also thanks for our hero providing his session to review

Would you mind advising me on AQo, and maybe also AJo? I play NL25 reg tables. I've heard mixed opinion as to when not to 3bet AQo. One was that I shouldn't 3bet (ie. should flat) AQo on BTN vs someone who opens say PFR 18% on LJ-HJ. I've heard similar opinion when hero is on BB. I think I'd 3bet AJo on BTN and BB, but I'm unsure how to act with AQo. BTW, wouldn't hesitate to fold AQo on Q85r too on NL25 reg.

I like AQo flatting IP only, and 3B OOP and only 4B against the right opponents.

6:31 i dont understand why would u just call AA here. Makes no sense to me. He can basiaclly min raise everyhand and see all 2 cards almost for free
@shunnedworm3
@shunnedworm3 4 жыл бұрын
I mean, villian could also just call and see 2 cards cheaper than with a min raise. Dont really get your logic here.

@@shunnedworm3 Hero is out of position, so when they just call and check to villain, he can check back the turn as opposed to having to call another bet. I believe that is what they are saying
@shunnedworm3
@shunnedworm3 4 жыл бұрын
@@nicotheo101 Yeah well villain could also jut call and get the turn for cheaper. Besides, 3-betting the flop just folds out all the random bluffs and it's not exactly a wet board - there aren't really any terrible turns for us. I just don't follow the logic and I think MMAsherdog explains his reasoning pretty well..
