Brad, about 4 years ago John Lee Dumas (JLD) started an awesome podcast called Entrepreneur On Fire. Looking back he is totally embarrassed by his first 100 episodes. BUT 1500 episodes later and he is crushing it! Making huge $$ and has built an awesome community. You can do same. Keep at it and I hope you enjoy it? It shows on your videos if you are having fun. Good luck. You are off to a super start.

Can't wait to see how Kevin does Day two in the 3k event. That 2-5 game you were in seemed juicy, to bad you couldn't get the cards to run your way. Funny, you played against the mid pair flush draw, then played the mid pair flush draw. Saw you in pokerkrotes video, funny you didn't recognize him. Your videos are getting better all the time. At first you were a little stiff, now your personality is coming out, and you are getting better at teasing the audience to keep them hooked.

great Vlog by the way Brad. I disagree with your explanation of not getting involved with the T9s hand. Sure you're out of position but I believe it to be precisely the hand that you want to be completing the preflop action with 5 ways to a flop. Seeing that you mentioned that this is an action game. You got the right flop and a bit unlucky to have to chop with such rag hands in the end. However that is the semi smash flop you wanted and your price to call warrants seeing this flop. Keep up the good work!
@NoReaSoN2CaR37 жыл бұрын
Shawn Scott exactly,? Suited connectors are going to make larger value hands that crush in multiway. 3 limpers and a discount in the SB, great chance to flop straight and flush draws.
@shawn49007 жыл бұрын
NoReaSoN2CaR3 hey dude I'm on your side in agreement. In fact if you read my comment again you'd probably figure that out. ......value hand T9s could be the greatest 5 handed hand ever. Cmon man!?? read read read
@MattD867 жыл бұрын
Shawn Scott would rather have 78 suited in that spot since T9's value is consisted of a good amount of face cards for its straight combos which theoretically more people already have given that several people limped (people play Broadway cards)
@shawn49007 жыл бұрын
speedy1388 first off he didn't get dealt 78s...secondly all mid suited connectors are extremely playable in multiway pots....third, if all players are conceivably limping with paint cards, they play bad and lastly people can form opinions on poker theory forever. Play the cards you're dealt and hit flops , turns or rivers
@MattD867 жыл бұрын
Shawn Scott lol wasn't looking to argue...I know he didn't get dealt 78s I was just saying that bc you said T9 might be best 5-handed hand ever

i think there is merit for checking the turn (T9s hand) after the disaster happens and it checks through. As you mentioned in these games the opponents hardly fold so i think it's better to check call and then get some value if u hit your hand, instead of betting the turn and getting raised or called multi-ways and missing the river and not having a chance to bluff the pot successfully? MAYBE im wrong, just wanted to share my opinion and hear what you have to say (: nice videos btw! subscribed ;)

Yeah I think checking there is good too.

In the 65 vs AQ vs T7hh hand, while you lose equity, the pot also gets bigger. 65o coming in isn't necessarily a bad thing.

When people are really wide preflop it's actually EASIER to make a profit. Because they're going to flop nothing and fold the flop more often, or continue with extremely weak holdings against your top pair type hands. It increases your variance because now you have to win showdown, but it doesn't make the game less profitable.

@BradOwenPoker7 жыл бұрын
It sounds like you are playing differently because you know I'm recording lol. I think people do to some extent. I'm also recording when I have a hand like T9 suited or when I'm opening with other weaker holdings. I try to stay balanced. Sometimes I can use it to my advantage a little.

You gotta put that what they should and shouldn't do shit out of your mind man. 90% of those idiots are going to gamble, and 90% of them have no concept of any kind of strategy like position, stack sizes, etc., they just want to play pots. I've also found that in those stakes of games, you can get away with a lot bigger raises pre flop and a lot bigger size bets on your bluffs. Even though most of them will play a super wide bingo range like the 6-5 off, most won't put in a couple hundred with middle pair or maybe even top pair hands outside of something like AK. But you can use that to your advantage when you know they have a big hand and you have them beat. Also hands like that 9-10 are hand you break then with. I usually will play almost anything against polarized nut hand players because I know if I hit like 2 pair or some crazy straight or something, I get every chip they have, their car...house. ..first born...you get the picture.
@BradOwenPoker7 жыл бұрын
Being aware of other players' mistakes is important to pay attention to. Primarily so that you can formulate a strategy against them. Also, I point them out because I don't want beginners who watch this to think that it's ok to do those things. I'm happy when I see players at my table making mistakes. You have some other good points but if we're playing T9 to hit two pair or some crazy straight trying to break these types of players then we essentially have the same strategy as our opponents to play bingo. It definitely can work but I just prefer to play tighter or in position.
