I was unable to play poker for 3 years, mainly because of Covid. All I could do was watch Poker vlogs and Study by watching anything I could like this video. I started driving out of state once a week to play at the end of March. I was Forced to really examine how I played compared to winning players and really absorb what they had to say. It's really amazing how much I have learned and been able to put to use.

You start by calling him more often all he is trying to do is bully you out of your chips big if you show a willingness to call when you have ok hands then he will dial it back a lot. Alternatively if your good at reading people figure out his tell because every player like this has a tell the guy that was like this for me would always scratch his ear when he was bluffing.

To topic do not limp I would add example which I see very often guy limping everyhand and somebody is constantly trying to raise him 5bbs to fold him which is not happening so guy is playing xx range in super big pot... in comparison if he raises it is just 2 bbs instead of 5. :D

Specifically for beginners, I would strongly disagree with tip #4. More money will be lost from poor postflop play with the correct BB defending range than from playing well with a defending range that is too tight. However, as players improve, it becomes a good tip.

just try to dont get on tilt... you will lose thousand and thousand of hands if you play further. losing hands is part of the game... I know its hard but just try to dont get on tilt.... 72off has 18% to win against AA... so from from 100 times 72off will win 18 times.... but you will win in the long run with AA so as with other hands... if you can beat your limit, than you will win in the long run... just accept to lose some hands... because if you tilt, you will lose more money as if you not tilted

I'd say multi way pots ip is tough because there's spots utg tg1 and lj all call and you're on the button with like k9dd or something marginal and oop multi way is tough knowing when to squeeze and when you shouldn't call from bb like a7o with the above scenario from bb should probably be folded.

I fold in Bigblind stuff like J6o, K3o, Q6o, 84o even against a button, CO, HJ open even tho is just 1bb to call..I think thats just losing money in the long run, because 90% you just gonna miss flop or gonna make bottom pair or weak top pair which is very vulnerable on many runnouts and can get bluffed easly

Because even 2x, you shouldnt defend them. If you have to defend 80% of your range, 84o, J6o, Q6o are out of your range.

It may not seem intuitive at first but if you play 100s of hands with J6o K3o Q6o etc from the BB vs a BTN opening range using a solid strategy you will end up profiting from your 1BB investment in the long run. Because you’re getting such great odds you don’t have to win that often to realize enough equity for the defend to profit

I mean JTo is pretty good. Like yeah I'm not going to bet half my stack preflop on it, but it's def not a bad hand lol. It's within the best 12.5% hands you can get. In other words, you probably do have the best hand preflop. Now obviously that changes on the flop as someone might get an A pair or straights, flushes, etc. But it's definitely a good hand to have

This is great advise if you're playing in games where players routinely raise preflop and know how to fold. In the games I play (recreational pub games) where everyone limps pre-flop, you have to adjust. Raising good hands is a waste of chips when you're just going to get 5 callers. In the early stages of a tournament I just call with any remotely playable hand. I'll usually only raise with the top 3 pairs, and I mean raise BIG. You have to adjust.

Can you do a video on how to win when you 3 bet jam AK with 25bb vs LAG open min raiser and he has AQ or worse? My winning percentage in this spot is about 10% the last decade. In that video can you also talk about how to snap call someones 15BB open Jam when you have a 60-100bb stack and have AA or KK and actually hold? Or just do a video on generally how to beat people when all the chips are in and you're a medium to large favorite. Think I'm batting about 20% in those spots over the years online. Another great topic is how to win when you flop the nuts and bet on every street only to get run down by full houses and other ridiculous garbage so often that you become variances bitch for years. Sigh.

@@AlwaysBeWater I hear ya, I know everyone has a bad beat story, but one sunay afternoon playing a popular sunday turnament on one of the major sites i had this happen, about 4 hours in.....I had a substantial chip stack, in the top 10% at the time.......I had 10 10, made a 3x raise, one caller. Flop came 9 9 10......the caller instantly went all-in. I thought for a bit, ok he might have quads - but I called with my FH. His cards were AK. o/s and no flush draw.....I was 99.3 % to win.......My excitement turned to horror when the turn came a 9, follwed by another 9 on the river,......giving him the win with 9999A.......I know people say its not rigged, and I know even with 0.7% chance its possible, but the bad beats seem to be prevalent IMO.......on the same site I had my AA cracked in 8 times i was dealt them, I was 0 for 8 without winning or splitting a pot, and most times all in preflop......anything is possible but it really makes you wonder.
