I thought I could knock out the mono-Electric type challenge in conjunction with the inverse battle challenge, so I just ran Pichu and a whole bunch of Pikaclones. Turns out the monotype challenges aren't counted when you have inverse mode on. Unfortunate, but it did still give me some appreciation for some overlooked mons. Plusle and Minun work together great when you load up on lures for double battles, and having two Pickup mons in Pachirisu and Dedenne was quite nice. I just wish I could have been lucky enough to get G-Max Pikachu in the run.

Mega Sceptile crushes the inverse challenge, grass is 4x effective on Eternatus and Rayquaza (before Delta Stream) and thunderbolt *would* do 4x back to a grass/dragon but it finally benefits from lightningrod

Started getting back into Pokerouge and I love the challange modes that are being added it helps runs feel fresh

If you turn on type hints it auto corrects for this mode. Genuinely the only reason my low IQ brain could beat it 😂

The funny thing about Paras is that, even in inverse mode, it still has two 4x weaknesses (Grass and Ground). Of course, Paras can hit a total of 9 different types with either STAB, but the double 4x weakness still amuses me.

I just ended up using strong Normal types for inverse mode, because Normal becomes the best type in the game lol Turns out that a type hat nornamlly has only resistances and immunities for it's offensive chart becomes nigh-unstoppable when that chart is flipped on it's head, and you're only trading the 1 weakness to Fighting with a weakness to Ghost, but since Ghost is also weak to you, all you need is to get the first move off. Shell Smash Terapagos was particularly busted with this because it's ability still worked as normal lol

for my inverse run i just grabbed 4 shinies with unlocked passive, and prayed xD arctozolt paras clamperl and gumshoes, caught marowak and mega pidgeot along the way. huntail ended up being really good cause of the drizzle/swift swim combo that just wreaked water floors

Go with Sewaddle, it sadly doesn't get any self-healing moves but if you slap a couple Carbos on it it outspeeds a good chunk of the roster
