When a Low and Overhead hit at the same time, it neutralizes the mix up and becomes a mid. This became known with Quan Chi in MKX with his bat setups. Playing Online can easily make this occur even if you practice hitting the OH and Low separately. FYI

Little advice for the low hat Jev. You want to put a more distinct break between low hat and overhead. If you have them hit at the same time, it’s an unblockable and doesn’t count. Give time for one to finish before sending the other.

JEVVVVV when you throw the low hat+overhead hammer setup, if your overhead lands first and it's blocked, the low hat gets auto blocked regardless of them standing up. there's a tutorial section about it, it's like a "anti unblockable" thing so you can't cheese the game too hard. butttttt, if you make sure the hat hits first then you're golden cuz the overhead will definitely land, idk what it is but i've noticed it happen to you a few times where you put out the hammer too early and the hat gets blocked and you're all "whaaaaaaa"
