I love Bulbasaur so much I used it for both my FireRed playthrough and LeafGreen Nuzlocke. My FireRed one was a girl too, that was unexpected, while my LeafGreen Nuzlocke one survived the whole game!

For those that are unaware, there's a HUGE period of time with gaming that Dan skipped over in his life. I think it's mentioned in the Grumps' first episode of the Super Mario 64 playthrough, but there are some eras of gaming Dan just flat out missed because he was just doing other things.

This is basically my dream Game Grumps Pokemon series: Diamond and Pearl. The screens are side by side. Dan plays Diamond, and Arin plays Pearl (Since Dan's favorite color is blue, and Arin's is pink). They go through, each with their own starter and unique team, then when they beat the champion they battle each other for the title of Ultimate Pokemon Champion.

Let's all face it, the GameGrumps took at least three times as long as our own first playthroughs. The average playthrough is 20-30 hours.

I would greatly disagree. As a child I explored every inch of Leaf Green. I easily put 90 hours into that game, interacting with every bookcase, every sink, every garbage can, battling every pokemon I found. Its why I found two full odds shinies in that game. Hell, I still explore to that depth whenever a new game comes out. Some people just like to take their time with a game and appreciate the detailed work that developers put in to entertain us.

And actually, you might be surprised to know that in reality the Fire Red playthrough was less than 30 hours. I just checked one of the last few videos (before they took a break for a friend to train up their beedrill) and the save file only said 25 hours. So even in that aspect, you're factually wrong about them taking any more time than the average that you stated was.

@@Drujd I explored every nook and cranny as well for my own experiences (heck I got Mt. Silver unlocked in Silver by pure accident) but it still didn't take THAT many hours. Plus all of that was post-game. Also the GameGrumps took 119 episodes to finish their game which is around 60 hours. Even for my first time playing firered, saphire, and other games, the longest it ever took me to get into the hall of fame was only 20+ in-game hours. (Like if you focus mainly on your starter, you can blitz through any of the games pretty fast tbh.)
