It basically just makes their stats better. Magneton already has high defense and ev training gives him more health. Thats how it survived the earthquake (I think???)

Actually the name “Nuzlocke” comes from the original comic, where the author caught a Seedot that evolved into a Nuzleaf and had the face of John Locke from Lost. Literally the first comic is basically made only with Lost reference and faces

My first nuzlocke in LeafGreen was rough. All my pokemon kept getting killed even after training and it was to the point where my only available one was my Wartortle. He managed to solo every gym, every trainer, and once we got to the elite four I got an Eevee and evolved it into Jolteon for the water types. I managed to completely sweep every elite four member including the champion because at that point after soloing every battle and using some rare candies Blastoise was level 81 with ice beam, water pulse, bite, and mega punch. I never used a Blastoise until that point and never thought much of him, but after that run he's become on of my favorite pokemon. Thank you Shiggs, you're truly a legend.

You got the easiest version of Tate and Liza's gym. It's even more difficult in ORAS due to the Pokemon being level 45 instead of 42, and in Emerald due to them having 4 instead of 2 Pokemon.

ORAS Tate and Liza were super easy. Every gym was super easy, probably because of exp share. But I mainly only used Blaziken and literally steamrolled through everything with just him.

@@silverstep9075 Not in the randomizer that I did. I had a team of around level 39 and had to battle 6 level 45 Pokemon in a double battle since I set it to all gym leaders having six Poekmon. Also, why are you only using your starter Pokemon in a game that isnt Gen 1 or 2.

Watching these videos inspired me to start a Nuzlocke too! I wanted to do something weird and different though, so I'm doing something that I'm calling a Generation Locke where I can *only* catch Pokemon from the game's generation. Since I can't find any of my old game cartridges, I'm doing a Y version locke, so Gen 6 it is.... This has been challenging LOL.... after being unable to catch anything between the first two towns because the first encounter was always something from an older generation, I decided to flip it to easymode and let myself keep running into pokemon until I find the first gen 6'mon on each route to catch. I think after this run, I might do an actual hardmode nuzlocke with the normal rules on another game since this looks like so much fun. OOH I'LL SEE IF I CAN FIND MY ALPHA SAPPHIRE CARTRIDGE YEAH.

I once did a randomized Nuzlocke of Pokemon Fire Red. At some point I ended up catching a Chinchou and evolving her into a Lanturn. Given I was naming all of my Pokemon in the same vein as JoJo Stands, my Lanturn’s name was E.L.O., or “Electric Light Orchestra.” Elo was one of the only three Pokemon to survive and stand with me there at the end. I couldn’t have beaten Blue without her. I salute your Lamp just as I salute my ELO. o7

Well, I haven't done a nuzlocke before, and honestly had little interest in doing them since part of Pokemon, to me, is building a team of pokemon I like, which isn't very viable in a nuzlocke considering you can only catch the first pokemon of the route that you see. But it might be an interesting challenge to see what one can do.

Loved this video it was great It maybe 5 months later but ah well I’m currently doing a my first playthrough on Pokémon white 2 as a nuzzlock also my first nuzzlock that I’ve attempted probably wasn’t my best choice on Pokémon games because of that stupid exp curve thing they implanted for that gen so I can’t really over level which sucks but ah well anyways hope to see more videos like this later down the track
