I get everybody saying "Raiku's a giraffe", but it's a Paradox form of Raiku, meaning it's design is based on a Prehistoric animal. In this case, it's based on a long neck dinosaur, like the Brontosaurs.

_uM AckSHuaLly_ Brontosaurus isn't a real dinosaur, it was the result of some British dude combining the skeletons of two different sauropods (one of the inspirations for the Galar fossils) ☝️🤓

it is based on a Brachiosaurus. Brontosaurus/Apatosaurus didn't have those longer forelimbs and the upright neck

@@DiscusvissenRocken My bad, it was something I remembered when we were taught about dinosaurs in school. Or maybe from a book I read. But I stand by what I said about the form being based on a long-necked dinosaur.

@@CooperGal24 ohh i fully agree it is based on a sauropod (the long neck dinosaurs are called sauropods). Brachiosaurus is also one of those, the iconic one from Jurassic Park in fact.

Fun Fact: Raging Bolt is based on the Serpopard, a mythical animal that resembles a leopard with a long, serpent neck and the Brontosaurus, which literally means thunder lizard. That's why Paradox Raikou looks like a hybrid of a saber-tooth cat and a sauropod.

@@StanleySophana i am aware of this, but the longer forelimbs are typical Brachiosaur only feature (Brachiosaurus and Camarasaurus being the most well known Brachiosaur species), while all other sauropod species had equal length fore and hind limbs. also, Apatosaurus/Brontosaurus have a more horizontal angle neck unlike Brachiosaurids which are known for their upright necks. but your point on Brontosaurus meaning thunder lizard was a very compelling point nontheless! too bad tho they gave it a 100% Brachiosaurid look if it was their intent to base Paradox Raikou on a Brontosaurus...

Raikou is not based on a giraffe but a sauropod, specifically a Brachiosaurus based on the longer forelimbs and the upright neck. Entei is an obvious Ceratopsid, my guess would be a hybrid between Styracosaurus (horns on the frill) and Chasmosaurus (long squared frill).
