Yeah good tip, but trust me when I say learn dash blocking first. Becouse this game makes mashing too comfortable lmao. Reason for that being heat and some characters like yoshimitsu where you constantly have to fear a rage art

Yes I agree 100%. I just wanted to establish the importance of poking and you can see me dash blocking repeatedly in the face of my opponents in the video. Movement is a really important part of the game and dash blocking especially is a big part of it!

the thing about Tekken is it's a very simple game. do more damage than your opponent, I poke a lot because it does damage

Well every fighting game seems simple but if you dive into the specifics it gets complicated. But yea poking is like the quintessential basis of the damage output 😌

Poking does not out damage someone swinging for the fences, especially in Tekken 8. That's why there are so many pro players who have yet to adjust to the game. Tekken 8, along with every other new fighting game, demands you eventually take risks most good players would never want to take because they know that is not a consistent way of winning.

Lmfao EVERY character has pokes, some much better than others. Azucena’s poking is average but absolutely useable
