the winged hussars are called like that because of the wings on the back. which they used to scary the enemies. those wings allow 200 hussars to sound like an entire army but also the wings where used to outstand from other military units

It's kinda cool how Winged Hussars don't require horses and are in the civic tree. Historically they were wealthy Polish nobles (which there were quite a lot of, because of the political system) who were responsible for their own equipment. It makes sense that they can get their own horses :) . I guess that's also why they are in the mercenaries civic tree, because they weren't a national army per se.

Belatedly, re: districts; there are three levels of adjacency bonus. Minor, Standard, and Major. Holy sites normally have Minor [1/2 adjacent] for districts, Poland upgrades it to Standard [1/1].

ONE thing annoys med alot: I miss the screen where you get a list of all your cities with their production rate, science, coins etc. (I think it was F2 in Vic 5). Why is that not in the game? Weirdly from what I've seen in some of the dev stuff about her, they always referred her as "King" of Poland. Was their some historical context to that cause i found it odd?

she was actually crowned as the king. simple as that :) few years later got married to prince jogaila of lithuania who converted to christianity and became wladyslaw jagiello and was crowned as king of poland too, she then kind of became the queen but she was also using the title "heiress of poland". she died very young, she was likely around 25 (there is no exact record of her birth date in hungary, so there is no certainty).

it was an interesting choice to make her the leader, as there were more notable rulers in polish history for sure (though she is very interesting and also cared about science a great deal, not just religion). i guess they just wanted to totally change up the way poland is played compared to civ v.

yeah she kinda was king for a short while but din t really had power and was pretty much forced by polish nobility to marry jogaila also jogaila was technically already a grand duke of lithuania but he was in a dispute with his brother vytautas the great after jogaila ambushed him and his other brother kestutis killing kestutis in the process and imprisoning vytautas until vytautas escaped vytautas then raised an army and took lithuanian ruler ship by force after which jogaila came with polish and his own army and settled the dispute by making vytautas ruler of lithuania till his death and jogaila being king of poland both were supposed to rule independently until vytautas would die and jogaila would then succeed to the throne effectively forming the first union of both nations before that they both beaten the teutonic order once and for all with their allies help and jogaila would then go on to continue his scheming and diplomacy and dynasty spreading while vytautas would continue expanding lithuanian territory deep into russia vytautas actually wanted to double cross jogaila and proclaim himself king but jogaila managed to hear of this and disputed claims say that he ambushed a papal send convoy with a crown for vytautas, killed them and hid the crown

well... formally speaking while vytautas (who was jagiello's cousin, not brother) was the grand duke from 1401 (formerly being jagiello's regent after a series of skirmishes and changing allegiances between the two), lithuania and poland entered into a personal union under jagiello (and subsequently his descendants) in 1385. the "beating of the teutonic order" you are referring to is i presume the battle of grunwald in 1410, but while that war was won, it was hardly "once and for all". as a matter of fact historians are pretty united in their opinion that the war was mismanaged and jagiello and vytautas did not capitalize on the opportunity to beat them.

chefirr you are completely right about vytautas being cousin of jogaila my memory was a bit dull on family relationship jogaila and vytautas never managed to take merienburg which significantly impacted how hard of a peace treaty they could make on the order the order was on a life support most of the time from then on and only really fought plc after being influenced by foreign powers

Not sure if there is an alternative. I know I had to mess around a bit to get this started the first time. Couple of tips: 1. Make sure you are using the nightly builds, the full releases at this point are still for older versions of Civ6. Here is the link to the github page for download: github.com/chaorace/cqui/releases You'll want to make sure you click on the highlighted "nightly" download link you see in the bolded first paragraph. 2. After downloading, unzip the file and place in the DLC folder for civ6. For standard steam installs that is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\DLC Note the folder you have in your DLC folder at this point should be called "cqui-master", you should be able to now check and make sure that the mod is activated in the "Additional Content" menu in Civ6.
