That Finnish EU Commissioner is former one, she is no MEP any longer. Or in politics altogether.

The part about the summit in Sweden does not make much sense. In 2024, Sweden will coordinate the informal foreign and security cooperation formats of the Nordic and Baltic countries (NB8) and the Nordic countries (N5). The NB8 and N5 are led by foreign ministers, who meet several times a year to discuss current issues. During the year, focus will be on strengthening security cooperation in the region and continued support to Ukraine. On 27-28 November, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson hosted a summit at Harpsund together with the heads of government of the Nordic and Baltic countries. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also took part and stayed for bilateral talks the following day. The countries, which are now all members of NATO, met at Harpsund on Wednesday 27 November to discuss transatlantic relations, security in the Baltic Sea region and long-term support to Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron also participated virtually in part of the meeting. As far as I know, Netherlands and UK will participate next time NB8 will meet in this informal cooperation. Norway and Iceland are not EU members. Saying all NB8 countries are part of the EU is not correct.
